TMG at it again on Twitter

Exactly what did I say that isn't 100% accurate?

I don't know the accuracy of what you said, nor do I give a crap about its accuracy. I said you contradicted yourself by pretending to hate ripping a young kid, then crapping all over him in a public forum with unrestrained disdain. In my opinion the tone of your words and the content was far from restrained judgment on a young kid. It was much closer to a bitter resentment and disgust towards someone that disappointed you but doesn't spend every day of his life trying to make it up to you and OU, to both of whom he owes nothing. To be honest I don't care you posted TMG's barely comprehensible tweets, but don't pretend you hate to rip him in one line then mercilessly rip him the next. You're the person who started this thread with the intent of speaking your piece.

It's not 100% factually accurate of you to say he's run his life straight into the crapper, based on what little you know of his life. You have no idea what his life was, is or will be. Nor does your opinion of his situation make it factually accurate for him. Get a grip.

With the little knowledge we DO have tho (leaving school, not being drafted, being cut before training camp, being cut from NBDL, etc), I'd say he waiting outside the door to get into the crapper...

OK, now you're talking about something you have ZERO clue about. You obviously don't have kids in school. I do.

You know what they do with them, jesse???? THEY MOVE THEM TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASS. If the teacher sends them to the office, THE OFFICE SENDS THEM BACK.

I'm telling you the truth, my brother.

A. I have kids in school
B. My lovely wife is a kindergarten teacher

Your job as a teacher is to try to get through to him/her and change their behavior. TMG came with a bad attitude and left with the same attitude. You know what...nevermind, I don't know what I'm talking about. Go ahead and give Capel a free pass.

A. They are not at the age where teachers have to deal with kids like TMG
B. See "A"

Look, I'm with you on schools/teachers/coaches/adults in general being tougher on today's youth, but it's just not reality. If a teacher/coach/school attempts to discipline kids, they are met with lawsuits.

Trust me, brother. My wife is very active at our kids schools (subbing, volunteering, etc). Our kids are in multiple sports and are honor students. I'm not spouting misinformation. You will feel my pain when your kids get older...

ON EDIT: Oh, and I wasn't yelling at you. This is just a hot-button for me. I want kids that are unteachable OUT OF MY KIDS' SCHOOLS...

We have had multiple TMG threads over the past 12 months, many of which resulted in him being ripped mercilessly by posters on this site. Up until now I have done my best to avoid joining in that activity, and have actually criticized those that did. However, I have reached the end of my patience with him. Number one because of his aforementioned sense of entitlement. You say that TMG doesn't owe us anything, which is true. But in the same vein, we don't owe him anything either. In fact, NO ONE owes him anything. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to understand that. His belief that he is owed universal praise and admiration from the University of Oklahoma fanbase is almost as absurd as his belief that he was owed an NBA contract.

The second reason I have no remaining sympathy for him are the actions I personally observed with my own eyes at the Colorado game. I watched with my own eyes as he sat in the LNC during a tight basketball game and displayed no interest whatsoever in cheering for or supporting his former university. Most of the time he spent playing on his phone, the rest of the time he sat there looking bored. Now again, does TMG owe it to us or anyone to support his former university and some of his former teammates? No. But the lack of interest he showed that day in the university and his former teammates was disgusting to me, and I am allowed to voice that. As I said, I don't owe TMG anything either.

As to how it's not accurate to say he has run his life into the crapper, let me ask you this: do you think this is exactly what he intended for his post-collegiate basketball career, not even being able to hold down a D-league paycheck? The fact that he is now starting to see the err of his ways (possibly, we don't know for sure) is proof positive that his arrogance, lack of discipline and sense of entitlement have served to derail a once promising future.

The more I think about this, the more confused I get. So he's now saying he left OU because the fans didn't shower him with enough praise for his "work"?

You are so dense sometimes. He got harassed by some tards on twitter about leaving OU, and as a robot he responded by turning the other cheek. Oh wait I mean as a human being he got frustrated about it. Good thing we have you out there reading 20 year olds' twitter pages so we get the full report about how dumb they are without context of the situation.

Now that I know more of the story it's even more pathetic. A 20 year old dude gets harassed by dumb fans on the internet for something he did a year ago. He gets frustrated and responds, even mentioning at one point he wishes he was back at OU. Someone on this board reports only the stuff he says, not the stuff said to him. People on here assume he meant whatever best fits their agenda or worldview, so they can rag on him in their unique points of view. People on this board don't care about context or what started what, they just take it as a chance to vent their own anger on a scapegoat whether he deserved it now or not. Congrats guys, keep an eye out for those monsters on Maple Street.

I'll take your word good sir. I guess a part of me just believes that even a kid (18 y/o) like TMG or Tiny could still have his/their behavior tweaked. In some instances, I suppose there's no getting through.

Da work I put in at OU and diz da thanks I get...prolly y I left

The last part of his statement (what I bolded), is what I found the most confusing.

By the way, you might want to ease off the use of the term "tards". That term is extremely offensive to some people. One of those people would be me.

Ryan Broyles is a good example.

I hear what you're saying. Go read the "3 questions with...Newell" article stickied at the top of this board. Read what Newell likes about Philly...

I personally don't see TMG as a lost cause. He is at another crossroads in his life, and every time he makes the wrong choice, his options become more limited.

I have worked with murderers, drug dealers, robbers, and all sorts of people that society wrote off at a point. I have seen plenty of them released from prison, only to return to their comfort zones. Most of the guys with the same mindset as TMG have never had a close positive male figure in their lives.

It will be a matter of him finally realizing that his current way of thinking isn't working. Sounds like he may be even considering that he messed up, which IMO is a positive.

Everyone isn't equipped or wired with the stuff it takes to work with these guys. Many of them can't be worked with, and you just protect yourself and family from them. I don't see TMG as that far gone yet... I hope that he finds his way out of the circle that he obviously is in. Life is short, and nothing would be sadder than him wasting what he has been given.

There is life outside of OU. He blew that one, but he still can recover. I blew a few similar opportunities myself, and today I'm doing pretty good for myself/family. Hopefully his mistakes will become stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks. That is how I define my life.....

That is something we should all be able to agree upon. I certainly do not sit around wishing or hoping that the kid fails. That being said, he's a really tough person to have a lot of sympathy for right now.

Ok, that word means something different to me than it does to you and I understand that. Give me some good words besides idiots or morons to describe the common man who does stupid stuff. That can be used on this board. Douchebag has been worn out recently.

You can't even BEGIN to compare RB's upbringing to that of TMG's...but RB is a good example of a kid changing things in his life...

I don't know the situations in which they grew up...But I'm assuming Broyles grew up in a much better home environment than TMG?

I'm with you on that I was just using Ryan as an example as someone who could have thrown everything away but chose to turn things around (with the assistance of Mark Clayton) and become a better person because of that decision to "grow up". He is on pace to graduate and will be playing on Sundays, something that probably didn't seem possible after his incident.

I stopped caring what TMG said/tweeted/facebooked months ago, think it's time for everyone else to do the same.
