Trae Young

I don't think Young is one and done wherever he goes, he is going to need 2-3 years.

OU or KU...both will have glaring needs at PG after this season.

No guarantee UK's next PG recruit is one and done, look at Ullis.

Ulis' size & splitting time with Harrison hurt him. Also Ulis was UK's plan B (which hurt us with Tum Tum Nairn). Fox is a different animal, Ulis might be better in college but Fox is better suited for the NBA.

KU makes sense to being our biggest competitor. I'll say it again, if he sticks with the package deal with Porter that decreases OU's chances a ton.

If he is as good as everyone thinks being at OU won't be a disadvantage in regards to the NBA.

Blake Griffin has obviously proven that. With his 5 NBA All-Star appearances, I'm not sure there is a single player in the HISTORY of Kentucky's basketball program who actually has more...and no, I'm not exaggerating. If there is one, please pass along his name. Dan Issel and Louie Dampier may have had more if you count ABA all-star games. However, the prestigious University of Kentucky shouldn't need to use the stats of a league that has been out of existence for 40 years to come up with a better NBA player than Blake Griffin.

I believe Rondo would probably be the closest at 4

Anthony davis is 23 and is a 3 time all star ... and baring injury will become a 10+ time all star ..

All I know is that OU needs to do everything they can to get Trae Young. He is that rare 5 Star, home grown guy that the Sooners CAN land.

They are few and far between in Oklahoma, but OU has gotten its fair share of them over the years...

I hope that Trae goes off to prep school, has a great season and then signs with us.
If he gets stronger, he could be a version of Tyler U the KY PG.

No thanks on the prep school. Getting what he needs on eybl circuit. Hope he stays at NN and wins a championship his senior year then comes to OU.

If Cal wants him to go to prep school then I definitely want him to stay at NN.

Not saying Cal fears Kruger on recruiting trail, but getting TY away from Norman helps Kentucky.

He won't win one at Norman North. 4 starters gone from this year and not much help on the Jv team.

And barring injury, Blake Griffin can become a 10+ time All-Star as well. In other words, I'm still waiting for someone to prove to me that going to Kentucky will make one a better NBA player than going to OU. Let's throw Duke into the mix. How many players from Duke are in the Naismith Basketball HOF who played under Coach K? Answer: 0. How many have played under Lon Kruger? Answer: 1 - Mitch Richmond.

The college or coach one chooses has almost nothing to do whether he'll be a great NBA player.

It is easier to influence players who are at prep schools.
