I noticed that the Sooner site says he is 6'2.

Others had said he was more like 5'10+

which is the case and does he have any more room to grow?

I had thoughts of it being like a Boston/IT thing where they are trying to hide him all the time. But if he's closer to 6'2 then with his speed and hands he could be solid defensively.

Just trying to get a feel for where we will be defensively.

Cool, I went to a practice awhile back and sat (and stood) right next to him. I am 5 '10 and he is definitely taller than I am. I would guess 6'1 or 6'2.

BTW, he worked pretty hard defensively in the games I watched (not counting the burger game. ) I think he will be fine defensively at the point.

Has he signed? I've been holding by breath about as long as I can last.

That is excellent news. The kid is a crazy good creator. If we don't hafta take steps back defensively then it's gonna be way exciting.

I am 6'0" without shoes on. He's taller than I am.

he was guarding Embrey from MWC and they looked the same height to me and Embrey is 6-3. Trae is a solid 6-1 and I think closer to 6-2, no need to worry about height.

Some were speculating on a previous thread he would have a hard time getting his shot off - nonsense. He's been guarded by excellent, long athletes and double and sometimes triple-teamed in high school and still averaged 30+ in 6A basketball. That's a lot of points and, he was guarded by everyone's best athlete every night.

I will still complain about pushing the shot like that but being taller than 5'10 makes a huge difference. If he can get 30+ doing it the wrong way then imagine where he'd be doing it the right way??

I appreciate the confirmation on his height though. 6'2 is just fine.

Agreed! Anyone who thinks Trae will struggle with getting his shot off has never seen hm play. Most of the highlight videos I have watched were against some of the best high school players in the country. He is so good at losing defenders with his jab steps and ankle-breaking crossover moves, the only struggle we'll see will be defenders trying to stay in front of him.
