In the portal era, a smaller roster probably make sense for several reasons, including money reasons. Just don’t want too many injuries

Kneepkens mentioned in this update but nothing new….Gianna supposed to finish her 4 visits and make her decision by the end of the week…so we should know in a few days.

I don’t think Texas is in the running. They don’t shoot threes. UCLA has the coast which could be a draw for kids but their offense is going to go through the post. OU is really the most logical option.

I think she would be good for OU. She redshirted after 8 games last year. Someone said she had an eye injury. She averaged almost 17 at Michigan the year before.

What are people thought's that the NCAA is considering 5 years instead of 4. People have entered the portal hoping for another year. If they did. I am sure they would open a special portal.

I don't mind 5 years but it seems like that would be the first step for 6 then 7 years etc. I prefer to keep it at 4 years but use the football model that allow redshirts if you play less than 30% of the games. That lets freshman who aren't ready get some playing time to be rewarded for working hard in practice and developing.

I wouldn't have a problem going to 5 years but don't favor it. My reasoning if simple, the longer you let a kid play in college, the fewer high school kids get their school paid for through athletics.

I paid $17 per hour to attend OU, and then paid $27 per hour to go to law school at OU. So, if you had a decent part time job during the school year and a full time summer job you could pay your way through OU without having to borrow much, if anything. Now, only the rich, crazy academic or athletic kids can go to college. The kids from average or middle class families struggle to get their kids an education.

that's a BAD move for her, JMHO. If Dawn is too 'hard' on her, just imagine how Mulkey will be on her. However, if it does work out, they could have a very lethal Big 3 again next year. I'm still hoping and praying our Sooners land a good transfer or 2 any day now...

I think Mulkey will get the best out of Fulwiley. As much as I hate Mulkey, it’s more of a rivalry hate, I think she is actually a better all around coach then Dawn.

You might be correct on that one. I think Dawn is an excellent recruiter that really appeals to the talented young kids, but as far as how she's done when she's not had a roster full of McDonald's All-Americans, nothing too flashy. That's how I always judge coaches - who does the most with the least amount of talent? Back in SC's early days I felt she was fantastic in that aspect of coaching!

She would be a good fit for Oklahoma. She’s physical, strong and can absolutely ball out. She’s like a skylar Vann type player but ball skill wise she is way better then Skylar was.
