Transfer Portal 2025

Anyone know anything about the new girl on the team from Ireland? 5'11 wing by the name of Emma Tolan. Read where she has 4 years of eligibility. So, at least we can have the team scrimmage.
They scrimmage 5-7 boys a lot of days.

They have scrimmaged men for years. However, that does not negate foul trouble or injuries for game day. Nothing like being 6 players below the 15 scholarship limit. I have NEVER ever seen an Oklahoma team in any sport be that low in scholarships. That is 40% of the scholarships unfilled. It probably hasn't happened in football even with 85 scholarships either because of walk-ons.

So Im assuming we are banking on the incoming freshman’s and the few returners we have? I do expect the returnees to be better then the previous year. I sure hope Beatrice can a scoring presence this coming season. I love her defense but maan she does not score very much at all.

So underwhelmed by our new pickup. So now we have 9 players and a phantom. The fanbase had hopes for at least a double in baseball hitting parlance,
not reached on an error.

Just saw Texas signed another U18 Irish player today…the Irish basketball association must have worked to get their best players to good college programs

One article I read said Tolan is a 2026 recruit. Additionally, OU WBB social media posted an image of our freshmen’s first day and it didn’t include her.

My guess is George talked to OU about her and we are trying to get her to OU for this year. May be complications getting her admitted and getting a student visa quickly.

You may have never seen an Oklahoma team in any sport be that low in scholarships because we are entering a completely unprecedent era of college sports. Nothing from the past matters.

Sure, you'd prefer to have more than 9 or 10 available, but Jennie has said before to media that in this new era, she only wants to carry 11–12 players max. And this isn't unique to OU. Notre Dame has 11 on scholarship, but one’s out for the year, so they’re down to 10. Kentucky has 11, and one is a walk-on. South Carolina currently lists just eight players online, though they’re expected to end up with 11.

The days of every team filling all 15 scholarships are over. For many programs, this is just the new normal.

that may be true, but still only 9 is so freakin' risky. If even one player has a health issue, we are incredibly limited. I just can't believe that JB and staff are foolish enough to put what could be one of the best upcoming seasons on that line in this way, so I'm still hoping for some news.
if you think they haven't tried to add other kids in the portal, you're dumb haha. They're not being foolish. They're just missing out on the kids they wanted and they're not going to take (and pay) bad players just to fill a spot.
