Transfer Portal 2025

It has always been an NCAA rule that the a kid's 4 years of eligibility had to be completed within a 5 year time period beginning from when the kid started college. Exceptions existed for medical redshirts. This is being challenged in court. As I understand it, the purpose of the rule was to prevent people that went to college out of high school, left school and then went back to school years later and still participate in college sports. In theory it prevents grown adults from participating against kids.

Let's assume the rule is found void, then what player would you guys like to bring to OU that would have a year of eligibility (5th year) and who didn't play pro basketball.

Jalon Moore was mentioned above. That would be interesting. Any big, you guys can think of that would fit this profile, either a former OU player or not. Interesting. Did manek play in the pros? Cousins?

Tom Fox did follow this juco French kid...

I can't pretend I know much about him but he's a frosh (heading into his soph year) and I think he'd have to go back for another year. Not sure, though.

I see a high major athlete/moldable clay. IF he can go to OU now, I'd take him as a deep bench/development piece, for sure.

Heck, add this French kid as a combo/bench guard. OU can have The French Connection.

Probably too late for OU to jump in now.
