Transfer Portal 2025

Agreed on the toughness standpoint. From day 1 he never looked like a guy that wanted anything to do with "banging" in the post. To his credit, I do feel like he got a little better with that, but it is obvious that's not really what he wants to be doing.
He did what was asked of him. That was not what he was recruited for. 2 years of inconsistent coaching, put in roles when players were hurt/not performing/quitting, practicing one position/role all summer to be put in a different situation even after not playing for multiple games.
Playing for a coach where it was always the bigs' faults when things didn't go right. All 3 taking the brunt of the blame.

He wasn't recruited with an idea of having to play defense against other post players? We can agree to disagree. And to an extent, I don't think he did offensively what they thought he would either. I think the thought was an above avg shooter in the 35+% range from 3 to extend defenses to pull shot blockers away from the basket. He had some decent games but far more clunkers than what I would assume they figured he'd have. Playing defense in the post as well as rebounding needed to be much better as a whole.

Hmm. He's like 40+ lbs heavier and 3-4 inches taller than Everett.

But man, was Relly Rell smooth. Never forget that oop pass to Taj Gray at the LNC I think against Texas. The reality is he's a lot closer to Jeremiah Fears than Stillwell. They are both similar in their ability to get to the rim. Everett seemed like a better outside shooter, though percentages aren't that much different.

Back to Stilwell- we'll see if our NIL has changed, as he seems like a must-get. If PM could snag him, maybe the dude from IN, along with Kai and Mo.. our frontline would look closer to SEC quality than we've had across the board in a long time. Probably since Spang, Muni, and Latin.
Man I appreciate you letting me know the differences in the two. I didn't know that I needed to do that when comparing their movements and play. But from here on out I will know. I am glad people are out there that will do what they can to exhort me.

pm needs to find a center that actually wants to play center.
enough with the tall guys that just want to shoot 3s
Or enough of the guys that LIKES to shoot 3s but can't. Okay with tall guys who can, we keep having bigs that like to that can't. Like Tanner Groves. And Luke.

Biggest misnomer by most- Luke can shoot 3s. He's a 31% shooter from deep. And couldn't guard either a 5 or a 4.

Exactly. People hung onto the fact he supposedly made them at a high rate against shorter, unathletic high school kids and acted as if he is a true stretch big.

yeah...really hoping atak/holst are tall guys who CAN hit 3s.
but they need to be on the floor with a true center who wants to destroy people in the paint on defense and destroy the rim on putbacks...
