Transfer Portal 2025

As we all should know by now, some of these numbers could be bull**** but...

Henri Veesaar (Arizona to UNC) - $2 million

Ryan Conwell (Xavier to Louisville) - "just over $2 (mill)"

Morez Johnson (Illinois to Michigan) - $1.5 million

Donovan Dent (New Mexico to UCLA) - "closer to $2 mill than $3"

Treysen Eaglestaff (North Dakota to South Carolina) - $1.2 million

Sean Pedulla got $850K from Ole Miss last year.
If we are spending $1.5 on Tae, I’d rather take Johnson or Eaglestaff

I will spill the beans for those not on the discord.

There is talk that Tae is costing OU $1.5 million+

Is Tae decent? Sure. Are there better 4/PFs at that price? Probably so.

Who was the main competition for Davis? UGA. Another in-conference losing team.

I guess it's good that they have the money but we'll see if they'll use it wisely. So far, off to a rough start (on paper). If true, of course.
Yikes if true. But I bet this isn't even remotely true, just like with Chavez. The agents spread all of these rumors bc all it takes is ONE other school to buy it and make a similar offer for the player to make it come true..

Tae would be a downgrade from jalon Moore likely imo. No need to pay him that for jalon-lite. maybe.. it was that over 2 years.

I'm not saying he won't be a downgrade....but what makes you certain he will be? He LOOKS similarly athletic and he is 2 inches taller. I like that at least.

There may not be a good reason to pat him that...but if these numbers being thrown out are true it may be a NECESSITY to pat overpay just to compete.....and I HATE that thought.

I would have loved to add Dishon Jackson. Very solid post player. I wonder what he cost Pitt?

dunno. but how many lives does Jeff Capel have? I liked him here sorta until he got us probation, wasn't good without Blake, and now has flunked two different tryouts to be Coach K's replacement and has proven he's a career .600 coach.

He had worse shooting numbers, ppg, and rebounds per 40 mins. I like that hes 2 inches taller but I would also like that to translate to more rebounds than Moore. Well see. Players get better too. Moore's numbers sucked at GT.

Hes a .571 winning coach overall which is sadly still +15 flipped wins better than our .549 coach..

Agreed....I was hoping he shows growth with another year of D1 ball under his belt and coming into a system that fits him. Just a shot in the dark really. LOL

we are stuck with the guy we got. as Darryl Royal said: you dance with the one that brung you.

that's us for another year, either Moser wins and proves some of us wrong or sucks enough minus Fears to get canned.

If OU starts with Tre White and Bryce Lindsay... Id be a very very happy fan.

Tre White is a win imo, plug and play Jalon Moore.
Tae Davis, Tre White, and Bryce Lindsay. That is a very solid 3 guys, only concern is I feel like that could be just about 75% of the NIL budget. Doesn’t really leave room to get a starting caliber center.

If we get Davis and white, I’d assume we are rolling with Mo and the young guns at the post. That group would all be a massive upgrade to what ou was working with at the forward and post positions this season.

Then ou just needs to drop a bag on an elite pg. Lindsay would probably be a good option there.
