Transfer Portal 2025

Just noticing this. Oklahoma State is going to be an interesting follow/watch. This kid can absolutely ball/score (nation's leading scorer at Green Bay) but has all kinds of off-the-court issues.

I have no idea if they'll win but I'll tune in early just to see if they gel.

Dude only played in 11 games last year. But I'll add him to the list (he didn't qualify bc of mins on realgm)

Could be a sleeper for them.

He had worse shooting numbers, ppg, and rebounds per 40 mins. I like that hes 2 inches taller but I would also like that to translate to more rebounds than Moore. Well see. Players get better too. Moore's numbers sucked at GT.
you comparing Moore's SR numbers to Davis JR?

Per 40 min
Moore JR - 17.5 ppg/10.5 rpb/0.7 apg .555/.410/.734
Davis JR - 19.6 ppg/6.9 rpb/2.3 apg .507/.302/.724

we can't forget Moore made a leap to SR year after some on-court growth and development his JR year. Davis is more of a 4, while moore could be a stretch 4 or a 3 at times with his 3P ability. Likely not going to get anything but a few corner 3's from Davis (16/53 from deep this year) but could likely give you more solid minutes as a 5.

as you said, players get better, Davis per 40 progression gives hope:
FR 8.5 ppg
SO 14.1 ppg
JR 19.6 ppg

Would LOVE but probably not reasonable for us. Chaz Lanier lite.
Big difference with this kid is he’s only 5’10”. Tougher to get quality shots off in the SEC at that size. Gotta be quick and take a lot of shots 5 feet behind the line.

I'm in the boat that it's a push, but both are bad defenders. Would hope we can get another 4 who is a great defender / rebounder to have some balance.

In general, that's my concern with Bryce Lindsay and Tae Davis. We were TERRIBLE on defense this year, and they are not an upgrade there.

If it's Frankie and Tre White, I'm okay with that. We'll get significantly better defensively, more athletic, and longer at all positions. Just have to figure out shooting, get one more ball-handler / lead guard, and take best player beyond that.

PG - Jeremiah Fears >> Frankie Collins

W1 - Brycen Goodine < Jadon Jones

W2 - Duke Miles < Tre White (Duke was efficient; TW size and length will help)

PF1 - Jalon Moore = Tae Davis (Edge probably to Sr. Moore vs. Jr. Tae)

C1 - Mohammed Wague < Mohammed Wague

PG - Dayton Forsythe < Dayton Forsythe

W1 - Kobe Elvis

W2 - Glen Taylor < Jeff Nwankwo (can’t be worse)

C2 - Sam Godwin = Kai Rogers (rebound, set screens, and finish at the rim)

C3 - Luke Northweather = Andreas Holst (Can’t be worse)

Alec Blair ?? (will he play)?

After watching TCU film I can confidently say I’d rather a more efficient guard than Frankie. However, this bounce is wild. And it’s fun to watch that big Russian get yammed on

More and more writers and insiders are emphasizing how important it is to get guys signed before the settlement. If Frankie is one of our two before that happens, ick.

I’ve been told Frankie is one of them

He is a GREAT defender, solid ball-handler, and good passer. He's not a good shooter. If we can fill that with Jeff, Jadon, Dayton, and find one other, we'll be fine.

Has anyone ever referred to JN as a good/great shooter?

The other concern is that without a rare star like Fears to draw attention from the defense, how will our supposedly good shooters get their looks? Dayton and Jones are average athletes at best. They are going to need help getting their shots. This just doesn’t seem to be a functional offense.
