Transfer Portal 2025

Did we ever find out who visited OU the other day beside Collins? If so, who were the players. And, do we have any other visits set up and if so, who? Thanks

I think Dayton, Jones, Jeff, ________, _________, will start next year.

Now. I say that but also say, We need another ball handler, best scoring 2 and a 4-5. Jeff is a wing IMO. We arent starting 2 bigs.

Positionless basketball.
I'm not seeing next year's roster being better at this point. Losing Fears hurts bad, but the bench should be better. It just depends on who the transfers are, obviously.

Fears->transfer big downgrade because I don't think transfer, whoever it is, will be nearly as good
Miles ->Forsythe push at best
Goodine -> Jones upgrade
Moore -> Nwankwo/transfer probably downgrade possibly push
Godwin -> Wague/Rogers upgrade

Elvis -> transfer should be an upgrade even if it's me and I'm pushing 60
Wague -> Wague year 2/Rogers upgrade
Taylor -> transfer/Nwankwo should be an upgrade.
Forsythe -> transfer push?
Northweather -> freshmen/transfer upgrade?

Dayton needs to get a lot better next year but he's probably starting next year.
Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see the upside that some of you see with Dayton.

We talk about not having small guards, then pump up a small guard. In the SEC, Dayton is a shooter. Nothing else. As crafty as he is, he is still very limited by his size and athleticism.

It's WAY too early to have an opinion on the roster next year one way or the other.

We can revisit it when the transfers come in. It is just my opinion based on previous year's results of the transfer portal and who we're showing interest in this year. I hope to be wrong and the team is better next year, but I'm not hopeful today.

Would the below transfers make a better team than last year? I don't think so.

Javontae Campbell
Sebastian Mack
Frankie Collins
Tae Davis
Jamichael Stillwell

Sounds like we can get him cheap! I’m In

Fears was kind of a surprise addition last year. We don’t know who we will have or what “star” player we may land yet. I know everyone is pessimistic about alll things OU basketball but it’s way too early still to know what the roster will look like.

One thing is forsure, Moser needs to find the balance between uber athletic/minimal skill (see two years ago) and minimally athletic/higher skill (see this year's team). That may be a rudimentary way of looking at things, but its why I'm a bit hesitant on Campbell. I'd lean towards a guy like Corey Washington if they're both going to be playing on the wing (although Campbell can theoretically be used as more of a combo guard). I also think Stillwell falls in that in-between category and I'm hopeful we can rope him into the fold as well.

I think you're high. Dayton's upside is big, it def has a ceiling, but it's big. He takes care of the ball pretty dang well. Shoots great. Can take it inside and knock down a pull up J. He has underrated quickness so he has the ability to guard.

If you're selling, I'm buying

he should be coming off the bench next season

Agreed. We saw potential and improvement over the season, and he was a true freshman.

Regarding his size, there were plenty of star guards this past weekend smaller then Dayton, e.g. Zeigler, Pedulla, Smith, Sears, Cryer, etc. Not saying he's on/near their level, but I don't think we should dismiss him because he seems small.
