Transfer Portal 2025

Bunch of what ifs and excuses is what I read... Moving goal posts again... Someone mentioned the 2 miracle Otega layups... those are losses... but these are wins...
I get that you prefer to be positive and give the benefit of the doubt. I totally do. But how is me objectively stating that he was fortunate to run into those teams at the right time moving goal posts? Or stating that he didn't schedule two of the three biggest wins he got in noncon? Or stating the he was fortunate to avoid Gonzaga? Are those things not true? I mentioned nothing about the Oweh layups (but referring to them as "miracle layups" feels... disingenuous).

Fact of the matter is you said the noncon is what got us in. I stated simply that we had the 317th rated noncon schedule in the country out of 364 possible schedules. Call me crazy but the only way you can have that be true, go 6-12 in your conference, and get in the tournament is if you get boosted by your overall conference difficulty. Did those noncon wins help? Absolutely. But had we not had a ridiculous amount of opportunities for Q1 wins in conference, we would not have gotten in the dance. Just is what it is.

One of the more interesting things I’ve heard about fasting is can instill a laser focus for varying amounts of time. I personally think it is a survival skill that kicks in when you are hungry from back in the hunter gatherer days.

you can be focused like a laser....but if u can't drink fluids during a college basketball game....you won't make it to the first tv timeout.
there would likely be a different tune being sung if our sec/ncaa tourney games had been during daylight hours and only northweather was able to play.

So tell me this. If we beat la tech, Wichita state and Nebraska. All mid level teams… I didn’t look up just guessing. Instead of the ones we did….

Do we get in with 6 sec wins? IMO unequivocally no.

Who's moving goal posts now with what ifs? The answer to your question is no. Counterpoint, the SEC just had two teams do something that had NEVER been done before. What was that, precisely? It was to have a team receive an at large bid with only 6 conference wins. When something that historic happens, I tend to believe that it was caused by the historical greatness of the league and not because of a generally horrible nonconference slate.

Your question is literally asking "if we played literally no one with a pulse in our entire noncon and won 6 games in conference would we have gotten in?" Am I supposed to clap because we played 3 even remotely difficult games total in our noncon slate?

There aren't emotional takes either. I'm stating facts. I've said before - even recently - that I hope Moser figures it out. But the combination of poor roster management, poor in game management, poor roster/coach retention, and poor scheduling without any signs of adjustments or improvement in any of those areas during his time here doesn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings about the future with him in charge.

To give you a what if. What if Moser doesn't luck into (and yes, it absolutely was a lucky break) Fears reclassifying at the last hour and decommitting from Illinois? How would this team have done? I'm on record stating that Moser wouldn't be a coach here anymore because this season would've been that bad. We probably go 1-2 in the Bahamas without Fears, lose to Michigan, and might've finished with 3 conference wins instead of 6. Fears bought Moser another year. I just don't know that I believe as we stand here now that he has learned how to win at this level.

Honestly i'm shocked at Duke's list of suitors. Putting it next to the other guys we recently "lost" to the portal it's no contest. Heck now i'm like the girlfriend who took for granted what she had, seeing all the other chicks after my guy. LOL
I wanted to keep him but as most. I wanted as 6-7th man.

I like it when bluebloods with large NIL spend crazy money for guys who will probably end up riding pine.

Better for OU for them to have less money. There are plenty of guys as good or better than Booker out there.
