I currently live in Bentonville, AR and I think the Waltons (Alice) care more about the new medical center they are building and/or the arts they seem to be pouring money into, but i could be wrong. I WISH i were wrong!

so far the 2 portal players we've landed have been upgrades, which is great. I think we need 2 more good/great guards and a center. Hopefully the incoming freshmen are able to contribute immediately.

you could throw a lot of money at college kids and still not get close to a national championship...see a&m and miami.
many wealthy people likely see that as not a great use of their money.....and i don't blame them.

Just watched the highlight video on McGriff. I like his game. He has a nice back to the basket game, does a great job of sealing off his defender and seems like an efficient scorer. He also seems like a decent shot blocker. I see where he scored 17 against KU earlier in the year, so I'm in. I still like Stilwell a lot too, more so because I feel like he's a superior rebounder, but I wouldn't feel bad about getting a guy like this, who shouldn't be all too expensive.

This is what I don't get. Why TF couldn't we have landed 1-2 guys like this in the portal the past few years?? It just seems like sooo many other teams have guys like McGriff who bring a lot to the table, and we are running with Godwin and Northweather. I'm fine having one guy like that as your 3rd post, but not two of the top 3!!! It's maddening! I also really like the Miss St guy who portaled yesterday, but he may be pretty expensive...I dunno.
