Transfer Portal 2025

It seems we are still working hard on finding an inside guy. I will reserve judgment on our roster until i see how it turns out. Fears fell in our lap late. Maybe porter can find an inside guy late. Nobody ever faulted porter for not working hard enough. He is a hustler for sure

Even coming off season ending injuries?

If that’s the case, they must have good agents.
Staff had a year watching them and knows they could go somewhere else based off past accolades and a few workouts. Retention is pretty critical these days.

We definitely should see OU be top 25 roster next year. Still maybe a bit weak offensively inside even if Wague plays more like he did late in the year on defense.

Hopefully the fans can support it. Looks like we are finally paying enough for a good roster.

That's not true. It completely disregards what we're paying guys that we didn't get out of the Portal this year.

We know ou wasn’t paying competitively in the sec this season, right?

Given that, how much NIL was allocated to Fears, Moore, Godwin, Miles? That money is freed up for the new comers. I am still very confident ou is not one of the top 25 spenders in basketball.

Not close to top 25

Plenty of fans thought he or the staff didn’t work hard.

If we are not going to land a starter level center in the portal, we would probably be better off using the money set aside for that position on a lockdown perimeter defender. Wague and Rogers are both backup level players heading into this year and we do not need another at that level. We need a high level five and that is probably unlikely to happen.

I was hoping we would get Campbell since he is a lockdown guard and would have filled that role well. But maybe the staff wants to go after a defensive minded wing instead which would be understandable.

Game doesn’t equate to wins.
Never thought I’d be on this side of a PJ Haggerty discussion because I’m not a huge fan either, but he was just conference player of the year on a team that went 29-6 and won their conference with an AAU coach leading them. Seems to disprove what you just said at least a little.

If the price was right, I would gladly take him.

I hope we land Reid, but I’m ready to lose out to BYU.

Federico would be perfect, imo. He would be the best post defender Moser has had. I assume that one is a long shot too.

I think it’s been proven that does not matter with front court players who have any potential at all. They aren’t cheap.
For a Cowley College guy that also couldn't get on the field at tulane football prior to that? No way. I don't believe the pricing on nwanko at all and if we are paying him that, hopefully it's the last grandfathered remains of dumb Joe C basketball. Where we weren't operating as a business..

I hope he's a total stud but we shouldn't be paying him much for his lack of body of work. He's not a 5. There's untold amounts of dudes his size we could find for cheaper.
