Transfer Portal 2027

Pretty daunting landscape, when it sounds like 5-6 SEC programs (alone in the article) are not just beating but doubling OU‘s NIL.

That being said, I hope they have a plan to evaluate what a (doubtful TBH) bump $2-3mm might give this coaching staff in terms of actual results.
Ideally a top 10 portal class. Wait . . . what? We had that this season? And lost nine in a row and missed the tourney? How??

Thanks for the contribution, Wichita. I should have been clearer, I was talking about an “on court bump (to be clear, that’s what I was saying is doubtful) but could see how you would read that differently.

Do you know the issue with Elatontsev? I’ve seen it posted a few times in this and the pay sites’ Portal Threads but hadn’t seen a resolution.

I want him. He does nitty gritty things that most porter moser players dont do. Little tip ins here and there. Gets nice trash boards.
I’m not sure he’s quick enough for SEC play. But maybe a year in the system and he will eliminate having to think about where to be on defense.

Why tho unless he wants to be a starter on a team like Tulsa.
I’m all for maximizing the roster if that’s on the table in replacing him but seems like he would obviously be a contributor on next year’s team and is an OU guy.

He can leave and be just another kid that played here or stay cement a legacy especially in this era.

For sure, I’d think it’d help with his NIL value at OU TBH but again players have to do what’s best for him just like the programs.

Well, I’d say legacy is a stretch. Being a four year in-state kid would be nice, but without any team success, he would just be a nice footnote in OU history. I like him … he is much better than I thought he’d be. But he is still best suited as a role player on a team with any real ambitions.
