Maybe, but this would be more incentive for X and his dad to leave now. Brown plays somewhere else for one year, gets an equivalent bag, and his dad is coaching for an established coach and has a 2-3 year deal in place. Since players are free agents every offseason, I'm not sure if being a lame duck coach matters or not.

I imagine he’ll be a Jones replacement but his defensive numbers on EvanMiya aren’t as good as Jones at LBSU.

Yeah I would say it is hard to know how to feel about this till the class is complete. If he is a bench guard playing 15-20 minutes, it could be a very good fit. If he ends up being counted on to provide a lot more than that because we don't hit on any better players. no bueno. Time will tell.

I will say, it is funny that none of the OU "insiders" were first to report this.

Who do you consider the "insiders" for ou hoops coverage? Brody seems to be the only one that actually tries at it.. football is anther story.. the scoop guys have more insight into women's basketball and softball than they do men's hoops

Football is where most of the money is at. Brody does a great job covering basketball and hustles to get the scoop more than any others on the OU beat for basketball.
