Transfer Portal 2027

Trilly says we are trying to get in with Tylen Riley…

Tipton saying that Hill jr. is going to decide between Tennessee and Kansas most likely, and that OU was an option but likely won’t be making the trip.
He shot horribly his 1st 2 years from 3. But then really nicely at tulsa. Weird

Evan Miya:

Jadon Jones - 203rd in the country
Offense - 2.61
Defense - 2.62
Total - 5.23

Tyler Hendricks - 724th in the country
Offense - 1.78
Defense - 0.93
Total - 2.71

I think Hendricks is a fine bench piece. Happy somebody actually wants to play for us. But let's pump the breaks on the "upgrade over Jones" talk. Advanced metrics simply don't reflect that.

Oof. Let us dream WTSooner!

Metrics, smendricks, let's see what happens on the floor. With all the stats being tossed around, soon AI will control all recruiting, no going to see a player play, no film, no visits.

Is this for 2025-2026?

Hendricks seems like a good pickup. If we are able to add a starting-quality guard, a serviceable center and then fill in the roster with some adequate depth pieces, we would be back at least to where we were last year.

Not great, but the sky is not falling. A slight improvement over last year seems likely.

Where do you see the slight improvement even if that scenario plays out? We had a serviceable center in Wague and a solid backup in Kirill. We had Pack, who despite his flaws does have one elite skill set. So I think we have to add someone at least that good just to get back to the status quo, let alone improve.

I think we still have time to sign at least (3) more guys. Can't go off anything until we know those pieces.

As of right now, thinking we will be bigger and more athletic... shooter may take a hit is what I'm leaning at the moment.

right now we have:

Brown
Need SG
Reid
Rooths
Need C

Forsythe
Hendricks
Mayfield
Rogers

Minimum need 3 guys but I would say we need 3 starter level guys and 1-2 bench pieces at this point
