My guess is he is guessing. I saw Tyler Neal tweet after the season (well, after the SEC tourney) that he thinks it's unlikely, but again, it seems like it was more a hunch than any inside info.

Pretty daunting landscape, when it sounds like 5-6 SEC programs (alone in the article) are not just beating but doubling OU‘s NIL.

That being said, I hope they have a plan to evaluate what a (doubtful TBH) bump $2-3mm might give this coaching staff in terms of actual results.
