The article I posted yesterday suggested $10-15M is what it takes for a quality roster in a conference like the SEC. The word that our new AD put out in his attempt to justify keeping Porter Loser was that our NIL funds would be at that level. I'm not saying our NIL is at the top of the market, but unless Denny was flat lying in saying they were going to give Loser the resources he needs, I doubt the awful start to the portal for us is because of lack of funds.

I still think money is the primary driver for decisions being made. That sdsu center went to DePaul, for instance.

Man... I don't agree with that. Mo was just super hit & miss. Bad decision maker & fouls too much. Dude didn't seem like he cared much most of the time. I'd take this guy over him.

Kepnang - for me I don't mind. Give the guy 15-20 min, will defend at least and dunk everything. Let Rogers start or play most of the mins at the Center spot.

Agreed…IF his knees can hold on for one more season. We already have 2-3 starters penciled in, but some seem to think every player we sign needs to be a starter. What do the teams in the top half of our league all seem to have? They have 3-4 big, athletic dudes who can rebound and block shots…and throw down some dunks here and there. That’s exactly what this guy is…someone who could come in and bang bodies with the big boys and block some shots. This dude started 25 games for Wash this year and averages 2 bpg. Had a few games with 6,6,5 blocks and had 14 Rebs in a game. I don’t look at him as a starter we will hitch our wagon too, but we have what 8 spots available? I’m fine with him as a depth piece.

Have you seen the other schools that are interested in Kepnang? Mich, Mich st, UConn, NC State, Seton Hall. Pretty sure two of those just played for a NC. But you’re right, he’s not good enough for OU.
