Transfer Portal 2027

Have you seen the other schools that are interested in Kepnang? Mich, Mich st, UConn, NC State, Seton Hall. Pretty sure two of those just played for a NC. But you’re right, he’s not good enough for OU.
UConn just signed a big with less numbers if I remember correctly.

are those schools looking at him as their starter?
cuz i don't think a 7th year 6pt/6reb center will move the needle much for us as a starter.

Just bc someone is negative isn't mean we don't want to be thrilled and pumping.

Your day to day life must be filled with rainbows and fairy tails.

his days are always filled with rainbows and fairy tales during the offseason.....and non-con season...
then the dreaded 9 game conf losing streak hits and he's like disappearing fairy dust.

I don't post here very often, but I lurk. I've been around here for years. Basketball used to be something that excited me nearly as much as football, but anymore I follow it about as much as wrestling and baseball. Mostly just in passing. I want OU to be good, but I've gotten used to the mediocrity. Moser just oozes mediocrity to me. Seems like a nice guy. Maybe a decent coach. Not much of a recruiter or motivator though. I have to think OU can and will do better, even in this current climate. As much as I hate to think this, I think maybe this team needs to be awful this year just so we will move on from Moser. The roster seems to completely reset every year anyway, so maybe a 10-25 type of year and last place in the SEC is what needs to happen to finally move on. I'm sure I'll get flamed plenty for that thinking. I would never actively root for OU to lose. But I could see a silver lining possible.

Not every starter averages double digits. Heck, we had 4 starters avg double digits this year...which is rare. I don't care if this guy starts or not, but he did start 25 games this year and played over 20 mpg. I like his rebounding and shot blocking. We HAVE to have a guy who can protect the rim..through blocked shots and altering other shots. When we were at our best this year, Mo was playing well and altering/blocking shots. Kepnang was 2nd in the B10 in blocked shots, while only playing a little over 20 mpg. The key is his knees. If he can play half a game and produce in those two areas, while also throwing down some lobs...he can help. Face it, we're not going to get a top 5 center in the portal...with the going rate being $3-5MM.

Moser would never be 10-25 at OU because he would schedule Purcell high school if he could.

Agent followed Clayton Custer. He was visiting Tech today so it may not matter. Lol

I came across this dude looking at the 247 portal. The kid can score and is a shooter. He’s a high volume shooter…had games where he hit 8,6,6,6,6 threes in a game.

Cruz Davis also just visited Tech, so maybe they get him instead. I wouldn’t think both would go there. I’d take Davis as well. He’s good.

He’s also an example of inconsistent minutes leading to a shooting percentage that isn’t really indicative of ability like I’ve mentioned here before. Shot in the 20s from 3 for two years off the bench at Illinois. Got real minutes at UNLV and suddenly he’s a 41% shooter from distance on 7 attempts per game.

Looks like Cruz Davis committed to Tech tonight. So maybe that eliminates the need for this guy? I’m not sure of Tech’s situation at guard. I know they have Christian Anderson, but he is projected to be a late 1st round pick. If he stays, I doubt one of these 2 portal guards wants to come off the bench.
