Transfer Portal 2027

Fair. I would love to read what you saw outta him that gives you hope he can play more than 8 minutes in the SEC. I’m all ears (eyes)
You would have CUT longar longar after his freshman year too. Not all dudes are ready 1st year. Its just asinine on its face to write off dudes that quickly

FFS, never effin mind. Some of you choose to be miserable regardless. Keeping Brown and Reid after a lack luster season and him being on his last life is impressive in this day and age. You know they had other attractive offers.

Okay, go back to being miserable. 😂
We probably over paid to keep them because we can’t get anyone else to come here

I’m not miserable lol. I said it was a good thing they all stayed. But I’m not gonna pretend they’re all difference makers. Brown I guess is. Reid is fine. Dayton is a good bench piece and Rogers will never play meaningful minutes at the SEC level.

I guess it’s just hard to have any level of excitement. Not trying to be negative. But there’s no level of hope in the program right now.
Rogers will play meaningful minutes this season at the SEC level.

The points about returning players from a team that underachieved and whether or not that means anything are well made. But I think the idea is that you want to start the season closer to the way that you finished the previous one (the body of work was poor but I think we can all agree that they finished strong overall), and when you return key guys from that group it makes it easier to do so. I also feel Dayton is a better player than he showed this year. Started out slumping and then the ankle issues sort of derailed his season. I look forward to seeing the healthy version.

Whatever works. There are A LOT of these players who are “overpaid”. You don’t think some of these blue bloods are overpaying for bench players? Why else would a decent player go somewhere where he’s only going to get 10-15 mpg when they could start at other places.

Kentucky paid that bum poke garrison like $2 million to be a backup.

I mean that is a bit different. We are overpaying bench players WITHOUT starters on the roster.

Someone fact check me on this, but believe this is a new lusk follow. Followed his agent as well.

My two cents: sure, retaining four players is a positive. But the surrounding context (only two are guys who I view as SEC starters, we have yet to sign a difference maker in the portal, we are not currently linked to any truly high level guys, and our roster as a whole will likely take a step back, perhaps a big step back) definitely puts a damper on things. If Dayton and Kai are coming off the bench next season behind really good players, that's great. If they are starting or getting overexposed because we don't have better options available, not so great.

if I had to guess right now, I would bet both Rogers and Forsythe come off the bench to start next season. Ask me in a week and maybe there’s a different answer. Lol
right now they are clearly both starters .. with the current 8 man roster ..

Lusk also made an interesting point. With Brown and Reid returning, this will be the first time PM has had two starters returning who averaged double digits in scoring.
