transfer

Alabama's Kaneisha Horn reportedly has a release from the school and is looking for a college. Horn was a McDonald's All American and WBCA All American back in high school, she did visit OU back then reported by James Hale.

She's played two years with a redshirt year (ACL) in between. She'll have to sit out a year if she goes to D-1, so she'll only have one year of eligibility.

I'm confused from some of the recent posts...does she still have to sit out a year if Alabama gives her a release? I would have thought so until the recent discussion began but now I'm not sure how that works.

It might depend on the release given by Alabama. They could place restrictions on her transfer, or grant a full release to play immediately, as Arizona did with Shelby (Softball). Surely the NCAA (No Clue About Anything) could waive any rules pertaining to transfer after the player had already used a red shirt year due to injury. I'm guessing here. Does anyone know for sure?

she could always fight for a hardship year Drey Mingo who played at Purdue was in a similar situation.

Hale is not going to publish this news unless someone leaked it to him.
When he actually publishes women's recruiting which isn't often, it's usually right.

Has a second person actually confirmed that Hale actually did publish this news?

Yes, James did publish but I think the school can only announce when she enrolls for classes since she is a transfer so official announcement probably won't be until June or so. I have no idea whether Peyton has publically said anything though and she could.

Sherri Coale announces @peyton_little has signed a financial aid agreement with OU and will transfer to the #Sooners:

Kiona Kellogg is going to Emporia State

Three girls are transferring from Florida, including the former OSU Cowgirl, Vicky McIntyre.

One of the girls Sydney Moss is looking at West Virginia.

I think things might get a bit hairy with Moss' transfer. As of yesterday, Florida was not going to release Moss to any BCS program.

She could still go to WVU, but she would not be able to receive an athletic scholarship for the year she is required to sit out.
