Good to hear. I doubt James and Buddy would be hanging with Trae if he was a lost cause for the Sooners.
Question: I didn't know James was still in Norman. Is he a GA or something? I always liked his positive energy and the players all seem to like him.... even some of the football players.
Today was the first day coaches could go see 2017 recruits.
7am OU coaches were with Trae.
It won't be for lack of trying.
There 4-5 Oklahoma kids in the rivals 150 this year.

Lon is taking the next step ( Get the stud Oklahoma kids). Billy Tubbs did not miss out on too many Oklahoma kids.

I was a big Billy Tubbs fan, but he missed out on his fair share of top-level in-state talent. Mark Price, Brent Price (initially), Steve Hale, Lee Mayberry and Byron Houston were all top-40 high school players from in-state. I'm sure there were others he missed out on as well, but those stuck out to me.
Billy and Kelvin both signed and lost their fair share of top-level in-state talent. I doubt it will be any different with Lon.
Other than Trae Young (going to Duke) and Manek, not sure OU is recruiting any other Oklahoma kids in the 2017 class. Will be interesting to see who in the 2018 class they target, as many as 7-8 D1 players in that class.

Kruger and staff. We always talk about it but he always has a backup plan. He went and saw 2 other PG prospects today. 2017 kids.
If young doesn't work out.
What if we get jerreau? Hard to think Young would consider us then.
Trae would start over him ASAP.
If we were fortunate for both of them to come then I would see them starting together, but Trae wouldn't be the point imo.
