That game was very hard to watch, but somehow we pulled it out. When the game got down to 1 and we hadn't made a bucket in 7 minutes I thought it was over, but the team responded and took control when they needed to.

I can't even force myself to say "a win is a win" right now. UGLY doesn't do justice for the game we watched last night. It would have to rank right up there with some of the worst exhibitions of basketball I have ever witnessed at the college level.

The biggest disappointment for me is that it came on the heels of what may have been our best performance of the season on the defensive side of the ball against K-State. I kept waiting to see that same intensity, but it never came. It was like the team expected to sleep-walk their way to a win, and that's exactly what they did for at least 35 of the 40 minutes.

I'm happy we got the win. But there is no way I'm happy with the preformance. I said last night that if the opponent had been any team in the conference except Texas Tech, the result would have been a loss on our home floor in a game everybody who knows anything about basketball expected us to win.

Coach Kruger has a lot of work to do before we play in College Station on Saturday.

I doubt we have another win till February. The best chance is our next game but A&M will be desperate for a win.

The whole time I kept thinking how bad Texas Tech looked. Meanwhile we were only up a few points.

But that Tech team is one of the worst teams I can remember in the Big 12. I dont see how they will win a game. A&M, OU and OSU in Lubbock will be their only chances. I could see them going 1-17 with a win over A&M.
