In HS we have home school teams, teams that are schools in a house or dorm setting. What if the U of Phoenix, Colorado Tech or some other mostly correspondence schools wanted to field a BB team.
Is there anyway they could get NCAA approval? Bring 15 kids to Phoenix, put them up in hotel and let them take all correspondence accredited courses. I've noticed players getting their credits in order over the summer by taking correspondence courses to become eligible at regular 4 year schools.

Grand Canyon University, which is for-profit college like UoP and CTU, has a Division II b-ball team. I'm sure the other guys wanted to start one, they could.

Devry plays their games online...

A couple of the DeVry campuses actually have teams. DeVry Philadelphia has a team that plays in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and DeVry Miami has an upstart program.....some other campuses may have teams as well.

Gillispie might be able to get the Tulsa Welding School job after he dries out...

So if the board of directors of U. of Phoenix wanted to kick in 5 million or so, they could build a team up pretty quickly.
Grand Canyon played Utah(might have been an exhibition game), Chaminade(split 2 games) U Minn Duluth, among their schedule last year and were 14-12.
