Updated Bracketology

Oklahoma state is ranked, so I figure they are in too. I think if we can win at least a game in the big 12 tournament that will help our cause a lot. Plus, we HAVE to win against ISU, TTU and play UT close, at least.

Here's the latest Creme bracketology. He still doesn't have us in it. But Oklahoma State is? Go figure that one out.

Creme is an ESPN apologist who always way overrates the east coast teams. He thinks 7 of the big-12 teams would finish near the bottom in every other conference. Does it every year.

He has underrated us every year in the last 7 or 8.

For one thing he does not given any weight to who you play. Probably too much effort required, or else too much mathematical ability.

That does not mean we are any guarantee we will get in, but if two teams are tied near the end of conference play, it is quite a stretch to claim they are separated by 30 teams.

It is likely that if you asked him to list the top 5 teams in the big-12, he would not be able to get very close.

OU is now #23 in the rpi, one behind South Florida.

OU is now receiving votes in the AP poll (#37). We got three votes. After beating West Virginia twice, they got seven votes. Again, we got three.

Honestly how many big 12 teams do you think would have winning records vs the ACC, SEC, Big 10 or PAC 12?

Somehow, unlike the men's team, these women have pulled themselves up from oblivion to at least have a fighting chance for an NCAA bid.
Props to them.
