For the class of 2016 Espn & Scout.com

Kristian Doolittle- espn/#62, scout/top 150

Notables

Freeman would be top 50 if in USA. (I think bossi said that.. maybe someone else)

Add Pritchard to this class and in a few years, we might have one of the best OU teams of the last 30 years, comparable to the '88 and '00 teams. I honestly believe that kind of ceiling exists for these guys.

Yes it was Bossi I believe. This is shaping up to be a very balanced and talented class.

That sure would be nice.

Can you imagine:

PG - Pritchard (JR)
SG - McGusty (JR)
SF - Odomes (SR)
PF - Freeman (JR)

With guys like Buford, James, McNeace, and Doolittle on the bench, amongst others?

I cannot imagine that b/c we haven't seen any of these play.

Yeah it gets me excited but a little early to be calling for a top flight team made up of players that haven't seen game action yet

If Buford, James and McNeace are bench players as seniors, OU is going to have some really good juniors and a very experienced bench.

Yes, Eric Bossi said that, and more. Here's the quote:

Matthew Freeman can really play. I wrote about him back in June when he came to the States with New Zealand's three x three team and was planning to do a new update on him this week after seeing him again at Adidas Nations.

He is a legit 6'9" has a very solid frame and is a good athlete. He should be able to add 20 pounds in the weight room without it costing him any flexibility or athleticism.

He plays hard, is a very good passer and is a lights out shooter for a guy with his size. He's cut out of the mold of NBA player Ryan Anderson.

The reason that he is a non ranked 4-star is because he does not regularly play competition in the States and we don't put International kids into the Rivals150 unless they are regularly playing the competition that we know and have scouted.

Put it this way, if the kid were playing in the U.S. right now or had been regularly competing against kids on the summer circuit here in the States, he would be at least a top 50 type prospect.

Very nice get for the Sooners

I think you're selling Buford short. He would have played a lot last season if the NCAA hadn't shut him down.

What do you guys know about KJ Santos. 247 indicates he has some interest in OU. They list him as a three star, 6'7" sg or sf depending on what page you look at.

He will be taking an official visit to OU and WSU. Also attending sunrise Christian yes the home of mr buddy hield.

Iowa is high on his list.

Yeah I think once we got mcgusty then santos became less of a priority. At one time he seemed to be a likely commit.

For sure could've been a backup plan. OU loved him early.

Still think we get a good PG in this class.

The thing that throws me off... Mcgusty committed July 20th
OU visit was still in the works for an official in early August.

I was very high on him about a year ago. 6'7 wing that was smooth, could shoot and had an amazing build. I just don't think he has developed as much as everyone thought. That being said I would still love to have him.

I think that goes to show how high he was/is on OU. Firmly believe he'd be a sooner if mcgusty went elsewhere.

So if he still taking official visit I think the offer is still on the table for him to commit. OU is paying for the official visit.

Maybe they redshirt and get him in the next class so we don't have five or six in this class
