Very interesting news on Michael Porter

They'll be fired up just to have Porter and changes. And going 8-20 whatever to 14-14 is significant improvement. Whether they'll continue to show up and watch, who knows. Trae would love to be a one and done but will likely be a two year kind of guy. Obviously OU was in a better situation than Missouri, but you could almost make the same argument on Trae. Why go to OU and not win the Big 12 or a title when you could go to UK or KU and compete. Sometimes, being the face of the program is better and fun.

Look at what happened at LSU with Simmons the 1 year he was there and then this year, the year after. Wouldn't surprise me if Mizzou had the same outcome.

I'm not saying that Missouri is going to be world beaters next year but Martin is definitely a huge upgrade in the coaching department. We have all seen how much of an impact that can make and we will have to see if he brings in another guy or two that can have an impact on the team they already have. Which actually isn't a horrible collection of talent if you look at the rivals ratings for the last few years. Most of those guys are three stars plus and now they will be sophomores and juniors and Porter and maybe one other guy or two to that mix and they could be OK with Martin's coaching ability. He has at least proven it at the Division I level at multiple programs including Missouri State, Tennessee and now California and he has also had one and done players so he knows how to deal with that as well.

Also would like to point out that his brother is likely moving to the 2017 class, which means if you get Michael, you get his brother. OU has 0 scholarships available, possibly 1 by the end of the week if someone transfers out, but not enough for both.

You make room for both.

Interesting reply. I lost count how many times I read on this board how despicable this practice was when "other coaches" were doing it.

I said it was malpractice when they hire the dad as an assistant coach. Alabama just Grayshirted a top 100 FB player, so who cares at this point

Missouri. But.... nvm I'm not even going to dream about it!

I thought the ncaa made a rule about hiring family for jobs...?...

but yeah ku is one of the worse! lol, mention that to ANY ku fan and they go apechit...:facepalm

I will. Let me hear it. Lol I'm already prepared to be disappointed

I don't know what coach was going to put, but it's 95% he goes to Missouri. His dad has an assistant job offer, he hasn't accepted yet, but it's likely he will. Our only saving grace is that Trae is somewhat recruiting him. I'm sure Lon and then know but their hands are somewhat tied due to scholarship limits, although one should open soon according to Coach.

Oh I know. I've been following your updates and been keeping tabs on things too. I was just kidding
