He's a lot better than some of the other guys like Johnny Jones and the Missouri State Coach that some are hyping on here. I think I would take Tad Boyle and Gregg Marshall over him though. The reason Capel didn't have success is that we didn't have great regional ties to the area. Shaka Smart doesn't have any ties to this area.

Shaka is absolutely, positively BELOVED by his players. They would literally run through a wall for him. I really think he's gonna be a good recruiter and a GREAT "retainer".

it wasn't a bandwagon choice. it was a "I think he's better than the other guys some people are proposing" choice. his style is almost Tubbs-esque.
