Watch: Some crazy/awesome plays against Abilene Christian

Thanks for the Vines, OUHoops!

If Odomes and McNeace's skill set catches up to their athleticism, they will be stars before their career is over. They're already well on their way. Both players are so much better now than they were last year. Odomes especially is an improved outside shot and a consistent finish at the rim from being one of the best players on our roster right now.

Odomes needs to go to the hoop with that type of authority more often.

Back in the 80s I went to many Billy Tubbs' practice sessions. Billy would have a cussing fit if any of his players went to the hoops with weakness. hahahahaha:ez-roll:

All that is great, but I'm still bitterly disappointed in the officiating in that game. I can't be any more clear.

I was too. I thought Abilene Christian got jobbed.

Still needs to learn to go to his right. He went to his right once against AC. The first time I can recall him doing so in 1+ years but went to the center of the rim using his left hand and almost got it blocked instead of taking clear path to the right board for an uncontested layup.

I hope their confidence grows quickly. McNease should catch the ball rather than volleyball spike it out of bounds. Wayman caught blocks in his 2nd and 3rd years (1980's)

Wayman had logged many more hours of playing time by this point in his 2nd year than McNease has.

True, Rashard still has a way to go to be a finished product. But the progress he has made since last year is really quite remarkable. If you'll recall, after what had to be a frustrating season where nothing seemed to go right for him, some here thought he might transfer. Shows you what hard work and good coaching can do when combined with a determination to be successful.

Actually I did see him go to his right in the lane for a couple of bounces but finished of course with his left hand, which is fine. I was just encouraged to see him take it with authority right handed for once.
