In a clash of West Side titans, the No. 4 Westmoore girls prevailed at No. 6 Edmond North, winning 63-57 Friday.
The Jaguars (16-2) held off a late rally from the Wolves (15-3) by hitting their free throws. Jessi Murcer led the way with 28 points and Whitney Outon went 4 of 4 from the line down the stretch to close out the victory in hostile territory.
“We definitely did a pretty good job with (handling the pressure) today,” Westmoore coach Andrea Guziec said. “I’m super proud of (the free-throw shooting late), and yes, I think we looked and felt more confident in handling that situation.”
