It was nice to see a game b/t two teams that drove to the basket and ran some good plays instead of settling for 3 pointers. Don't see very many physical games like this anymore. I only saw the 2nd half though

Both teams moved really well without the ball and played good D.

Butler definitely showed why they were in the NC game. It was ironic that they mentioned in the pregame that Butler hadn't allowed an opponent to score over 60 in the tourney. I thought to myself that if Duke got to 60, they would probably win.

A third of the shots in that game were 3 pointers.
I wish Butler would have won.

I thought Coach K pulled a Calipari at the end of the game. Unfortunately it didn't come back to bite him like it did Calipari in the Kansas game.

it was bad. a 3-point lead vs. a 2-point lead is an easy choice for me when a hail mary is basically butler's only option.

great game....other than the final score, that is....

True...if it's under 2 seconds you miss, but not with 3.5 and your biggest body shooting at the line.

Great game.

The charging call against Haywood was big. It reminded me of the charging call in the Duke-Baylor game.

It was probably the wrong call, but it's tough to concentrate on that for me when Butler couldn't score from the field the final 11 minutes of the game. I thought the charge was big for another reason, about a minute later Veazey got around his man in the corner (Zoubek I believe) and got all the way to the block, Scheyer slid over and Veazey kicked it out across the court. Veazey should have laid that up or at least pulled up for a 5ft bank shot. But I think that charge may have played into his thinking.

Gotta give it up to Duke, they ran some GREAT half court sets tonight. Ultimately the difference in the game.

yeah, don't give the other team time to advance the ball with one good pass or a couple dribbles.

they did, and singler was huge. but scheyer should get OMR's underrated performance of the night. that tip-in when the shot clock was expiring was impressive, and his recognition to take advantage of butler not paying attention on the two inbound plays were big. i kinda like the kid.

and i'll have to watch it again, but it seemed nolan smith played some great defense on mack and nored.
