Lakers are cool. I remember as I began my NBA love though, it really started w/Chicago. It was 1986-87 and the Lakers were still doing their thing. I was a light Lakers fan but this young man #23 named Jordan just drew me to him right off the bat. Didn't really follow college basketball so it wasn't until he got in the NBA that I was even aware of who he was. Anyways, started watching the Bulls on satellite which was almost every game they played since we had access to all the Chicago channels. Over the next 15 years or so I watched nearly every Bulls game I could and taped a ton of them too. The Bulls were it for me and their 6 championships were a thing of beauty that I'll never forget. Loved the Bulls but... my team is now the OKC Thunder! Maybe if I had lived in Illinois or maybe if I had been born there my loyalty would still be with the Bulls but I'm an Oklahoma guy. I support OU everything and now stand firmly entrenched as a Thunder fan too. It's great to see basketball fans in Oklahoma FINALLY get an NBA team!! It was a little surreal seeing OKC battle it out against LA in the NBA playoffs! I'm sure as a Lakers fan the whole thing was just crazy. :woot
