What? Cam and Calvin grade issues?

personally, I wouldn't care what a bunch of message boarders were saying and I would hope I would teach my kids the same thing.

My kids wouldn't care either because they both have 4.0 GPAs, but again, I don't think that this is the proper place for this discussion.

Qualifying and not qualifying are topics that are discussed by fan bases all the time. It is a fact of life when it comes to college athletics.

We don't know all of the facts, obviously. What we do know is that he is not in Norman and he is not practicing and that he is in summer school. If we did not know that much, the information that OUguy11 originally posted and the additional info that Chico posted, there would be all sorts of rumors flying around about who knows what. Believe it or not, there are worse things than grade issues, i.e. going to another school, legal problems, deciding against college altogether. Thankfully, we have some information about why he hasn't reported yet and for the resolution, we will just have to wait and see.
I am thankful to both OUguy11 and to Chico for posting what they know/have heard. They are both credible, in my experience, and are not simply posting to stir up problems.

I'm not sure why there has to be so much drama and hysteria when credible people post information. The reason their stories don't match up completely is because they are coming from two different sources with different perspectives. That doesn't change the fact that their information sheds some light on the situation.

Look, I wasn't THAT upset about it. I just think there is some uncertainty about "the story"...with that said, I just thought it was better left alone. I'm not really that bent out of shape about it, but I can see where it might not be beneficial to discuss something as sensitive as bad grades or work ethic when you don't know the entire story...

Oh, and I won't comment on it again...sorry for taking up your time...

If you want to complain about everything i think most on here would be fine with you leaving. Contribute something or don't complain. You don't have to read everything we/I post.

I was complementing Klegg on being reasonable in that post, not complaining. Is it crazy to like when people agree with my opinion? I contributed my thoughts on the rumors that have been swirling, both recently and right after the season about who was to blame and our impending punishment. This is a message board and I am a fan, I don't have any great sources or secret backstories to contribute here. I do have opinions. I could give a crap if anyone thinks I should leave, until mods kick me out for having the gall to disagree with someone with more posts I'll be here. Waiting in the shadows, ready to right wrongs and level the scales of justice. Remember gents, the internet is an epic battle. There can be only one.

You don't have to read what I post either. Let's call a truce, and live to fight another day.

Easier said than done, especially when the "message boarders" are alumni and fans of the program. Even grown men who are members of this board and imaginary club are offended by perceived insults on the internet. Not saying that any future player has been insulted in this thread. But just because you or yours wouldn't be offended doesn't mean others wouldn't. We have easy lives, we have time enough to spend typing about a bball team with a group. Not everyone has the time to master internet etiquette. But everyone understands that words hurt. So, so deeply.

I was told this thread had gone off at the rails and for once that poster was correct about something...

I'm trying my hardest to become MORE Thunder friendly. Old flames are hard to quit, and loyaly has always been big to me, but the home team is growing on me daily. KD solidifies it for me. Just don't see young men like him in any major sport.

TTFU!!!!!!!---------------> How did I do???:p

jmizzy, most of these youngsters weren't even born when Laker fans like us hitched our wagon to the purple and gold. I go all the way back to the days of Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. When Magic came along, my loyalties grew even stronger. I saw the Magic Man play when he was in high school in Lansing, Michigan. You're right, my friend, it's hard to quench a flame that has continued to burn brightly for nearly a half century. Heck, I'll bet I've got underwear older than waynepayne. ;)

Having said all that, however, I'll admit that I am well on my way to becoming a Thunder fan. Will I abandon the Lakers? Heck, no! But I really like the brand of hoops KD and crew plays. Their work ethic and enthusiasm is contagious. If the Lakers had lost that series, I would have immediately switched my loyalties for the rest of the playoffs. To be honest, I get frustrated when the Lakers dog it for three or more quarters and then try to win games in the last ten minutes. :mad:

Took the words right out of my mouth!! Good to see you around Ada. I have missed your input lately. I'm sure that real life is keeping you busy, but it is great to see you around. I don't need to add anything, because you nailed my feelings about being a lifelong Laker fan. I latched on when Kareem came to town, and I have stayed loyal every since, including the dry spells during the mid-late 90's......
