jmizzy, most of these youngsters weren't even born when Laker fans like us hitched our wagon to the purple and gold. I go all the way back to the days of Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. When Magic came along, my loyalties grew even stronger. I saw the Magic Man play when he was in high school in Lansing, Michigan. You're right, my friend, it's hard to quench a flame that has continued to burn brightly for nearly a half century. Heck, I'll bet I've got underwear older than waynepayne.
Having said all that, however, I'll admit that I am well on my way to becoming a Thunder fan. Will I abandon the Lakers? Heck, no! But I really like the brand of hoops KD and crew plays. Their work ethic and enthusiasm is contagious. If the Lakers had lost that series, I would have immediately switched my loyalties for the rest of the playoffs. To be honest, I get frustrated when the Lakers dog it for three or more quarters and then try to win games in the last ten minutes.
