They could be a school record, an arena record, the "first" of something significant, etc.
In no particular order (for me):
- Most points in LNC history: 56 by Brent Price, vs. Loyola Marymount, December of '90 (Wayman's record of 61 came at the Myriad).
- First-ever win over a No. 1 ranked team: vs. UNLV in January of 1987 - this is still the best game I've ever seen, period (89-88)
- The career Big 8 scoring record, at the time by Wayman Tisdale, vs. Northwestern Louisiana, December of 1984. I forget what the total was at the time, though.
- The then-All-time Big 8 team scoring record in a single game: 133 points vs. Nebraska, 1987.
- First Big 8 regular season title clincher: vs. Kansas State, February of 1979, in the last game of the regular season, 68-56.
- First LNC win, January of '76, vs. "the basketball school," 67-52.
- First LNC sellout: 2/2/77 vs. Missouri, in a game where the students showed up almost two hours early.
