If you were a top female basketball recruit, name the 3 most important things you would look for in a program?

1. Great teammates with common goals and values.

2. A college/university that offers a degree in my area of interest with strong alumni ties.

3. A team with great fans that has the potential to win it all...national championship... at least once in the four years of eligibility.

1. Good education

2. Good relationship with coaches and teammates.

3. A successful team.

1. A preparatory education. An athlete should be looking at what his education will prepare him to do, and at the opportunities available to him/her as a result of that education at a given university. What are the opportunities in a given area for an athlete of my sex and race? That is a deciding point for a good number of students.

2. The coach and community are important to the next four years. But, that community is even more important after the next four years.

3. How does the education that I would get make me feel about myself.

If winning a national title is a key consideration, it's a bit off base. It's about my future, not a game.

A team (players and coaches) that I really connect with.

A school that offers a degree in the field I am most interested in.

A team that I believe will have a chance to win a national championship.
