6'5 guard from Glencoe who averaged 26.4 PPG and made the Super 5 list?

Anyone know anything about him?

I cover A & B basketball in NW Oklahoma and have had a chance to see Ty at the state tournament the last few years. He's a really good small school player that has the size and skills to dominate the game against the competition. He's always the best player on the floor and probably doesn't shoot it enough. He reminds me a lot of Tyler Tune from Arnett a year ago or the Steinmetz kid from Ft Cobb a few years ago.

Interesting comparison to the kid from Ft. Cobb.

I saw Lazenby play two years ago. Nice high school player, not a D1 kid, imo.

OU followed him a bit. He's solid. Good size for a shooter. Good athlete. Best of Lazenby boys

Is he related to one of the sports radio personalities? Something like todd lazenby?

I've seen him play a few times and he doesn't lack for confidence -- at all.

I think he'd be an absolute star at a lower level, DII, NAIA, etc., and likely a contributor at an ORU type DI.

We'll probably see him in a couple of years. Maybe at Tulsa or OSU. He seems to be at least as skilled as Frank Booker.

Man, I dunno. He has an extremely slow release and I don't see him being able to defend at the D1 level.

Cant defend, why does every white player have the inability to defend? It's not just you, its everyone. He is a 6'5" PG/SG that can score and shoot. His release can be changed, it happens all the time. Jordan Woodard is 5'10", and no body seems to care that he is short and cant shoot. This guy is 7" taller than Woodard, better numbers, and can shoot a lot better. I would love to at least have a guy like this on the roster. Much better than D Walker.
Sorry for the rant, but every single white guard seems to have a lack of athleticism.
his highlights primarily show him scoring, so how do you figure he cant defend? Every kids highlight is of them scoring.
I saw size, shooting, taking it to the basket, passing, hustle, steals, and he blowing right by defenders.

He's not better than mankin, I've seen him play 5-6 times over the last few years in the state tournament.

My opinion has nothing to do with his race. Go watch videos of him and realize he looks like he's got concrete shoes on.

He doesn't appear to handle it all that well and the competition he was going against looked fairly inferior.

I'm not really ragging on him, just making an observation. He's not in the same stratosphere as Woodard.

The guy that said low d1 contributor is probably right. Recruiting is funny though. Their are some NAIA kids that could be factors on the D1 level. I think the Curran Scott kid is not as good as Lazenby, but he just got an offer from Tulsa.

Not all that impressed.

Great actor. Flops almost as much as Marcus Smart.

I guess if you can get the calls.

Seen them both play multiple times and I'll take Scott. Better defense, hustle, strength, athleticism, shooting, attitude (and Scott's attitude is pretty poor), and versatility on offense.
