When is it customary for kids to commit

This next class is really important for OU. I was wondering if anyone knew when it was customary for kids to commitment.

Most sign during the early signing period in fall. After AAU season and soon after school starts. Usually late sept or early october I believe.

Eary signing period is in November.

I know the early signing period is in November. What I am wondering is when most of the kids start making a decision? For example in football I know most of the class if full long before February. Right now OU has 12 commitments for football but none for basketball. (The latest kid is 6'6" and 275 lbs heading into his senior year of high school. That is a big kid.)

July is the live period for AAU ball with college coaches out scouting for much of the month, after that ends that is when kids start to commit. I believe a lot of the top 100 hasn't committed yet in this class, so we should see a lot of movement in August.
