Where would OUs current team be in Wisc & Dukes Rotation?

Buddy over Gasser
Buddy over Jones
That's it.

There would be some guys that get burn, but none are playing significant nor crunch time minutes.

pretty much this ..

although I think cousins would play a bunch off the bench for wisky and Thomas a bunch off the bench for duke ..

Cousins wouldn't get much burn at all in Ryan's system, he's too loose with the ball and doesn't make the type of decisions Ryan would want.

I think this pretty much nails it. I think Thomas would definitely get some run. As far as I can tell, neither team has a big guy on the bench with that kind of offensive skill set. A fully healthy Spangler could probably carve out a niche as an enforcer type off the bench for either team. In my opinion, Cousins would struggle the most for PT. That's nothing against him, it's just both those teams are really good and deep at guard.

As a coach, you would also have trouble playing Buddy and Bronson in the same backcourt...that's a lot of shots taken away from Dekker, Kaminsky, etc. Gasser isn't near the player Buddy is, but he may fill that role better.

And he is a better ball handler. Gasser is basically a second pg. That was really the only point I was trying to make.

Certain guys fit certain rosters/styles better than others.

Anyone who tries to compare shooting %'s for 2 different players on different teams and different circumstances to determine who the better player is, is silly. That is a very elementary, simple minded way of looking at it. A lot of Buddy's 3's are off the dribble or off a screen....and on average are probably deeper than the duke guards. I would hope to god they would hit a better % having a lot of their 3's being set shots. If you have watched duke much at all this year, you would know that.

All I know is Buddy made an all-american team, Cook did not (and Jones sure the hell didn't). I guess the voters forgot to look at the shooting %'s. Buddy is also way ahead of Cook in any mock draft that is on the planet. I don't even see one who shows cook even getting drafted.

Put a target on Cook's chest and throw him on a team where he isn't surrounded by NBA players and let's see how he does. I would be willing to bet his "shooting %'s" would go down. So would TO's, etc. That's exactly what Buddy has had to face every game. Under your logic Forte is better than Buddy too! lol

Its also going to depend if you are talking Buddy had been in the Duke or Wisconsin system for 2 prior seasons years or if he was a one year rental after OU.

I could not see him not being a starter over freshman when he had been there for 2 years.
