Which player has suprised you the most (in a good way)

I went with Cal. He seems to be the spark we need off of the bench. He is playing so decent defense, too. I like the energy he brings.

Although I'm not a huge fan, I voted Newell. His scoring has been unbelievable so far this year. I know he'll average out as the season goes on, but he is pretty much the only guard off the bench we have that is an offensive threat.

Grooms has been pretty close to how he was described. Good ball handler. Quick. Solid defender. If he wasn't shooting 28% from the floor, and 11% from three, I'd probably vote him #1.

So far it's Pledger for me. Newell is giving us exactly what i thought.

I am going to say Barry. Last season he looked lost most of the time and in need of a heart cath after being in for a few minutes. While he is not to the level of our other posts I don't cringe near as much when he comes in, I think he made the most of his off season so kudos to him. I think his limited minutes will be important as the season progresses to keep the others from getting worn out/injured.

I went with Grooms, but only becuase I think his stat sheet will pick up. Heard a million times that [INSERT] JUCO is awesome and going to be an immediate upgrade. Used to happen more in the past when prep schools weren't as prevalent, but not as much lately. Good player and filled a need immediately.

Grooms got my vote. He has played well for a JUCO PG with no D-1 experience.

Grooms with Newell a close second...knew Calvin could develop at some point given his athleticism, but Grooms has impressed more with not seeing him prior to OU.

It really sucks that half of us are saying Newell given that he apparently left the team. I feel cheated.
