Who's the point next season and your 1st 5?

Kellogg averaged 12.7 points and 7.3 rebounds her senior year in high school. Not sure we can expect her to be a scorer in college.

I think Shaya was a bigger scorer in AAU than in HS. There was a team of "scorers" as I remember. In AAU, she was a go-to player. In both HS and in AAU, they had her shooting threes often. But, against Miami in the game that I saw, she hit a three to put Miami ahead late in the game, after which they pulled her. Prior to that, she had hit a lot of putbacks off of offensive boards, beating James for the ball. After she gave them the lead, they pulled her and lost the game in the final two minutes. Moncrief destroyed Buckley.

I don't know that James has exactly caught hold at FSU yet either.

I really wish there was a true 4 on the roster. Or Campbell was 6-1 instead of 5-10.

Dave and Buster's?

Atlanta, a couple of years ago, we were cursing because we didn't have a power forward. OSU had broken her jaw. Then, suddenly, Jo emerged.

Give Sharane, Shaya, Kornet, and, maybe, Felisha a chance. Never know what we'll get.

Yes Dave & Buster's my mistake the main point is if I Am 5'11 and she 5'10 we should had been looking in each other eyes her head should not been at my shoulders. I say she 5'8 1/2 maybe just barely 5'9

Well, if your eyesight didn't distinguish between David Busters and Dave and Buster's, was it able to distinguish between 5-9 and 5-10? lol

I think KayKay will start at center. If Vionese doesn't have a serious injury she could challenge her but we are likely to need both at the 5 because of foul trouble and I don't see either as an ideal 4. Sherri usually goes with experience so KayKay gets the nod. If Vionese is seriously injured then we are seriously exposed inside. I could see Gibbs backing center up but we have had enough blowouts this season that she should have more than 15 minutes of play if Sherri sees her as a valuable option next year. She has good numbers in those 15 minutes but the rest of her game must really suffer.

I can see Kornet and Campbell figuring in at the 3 and 4. Kornet is probably better qualified to defend the 4 and rebound inside. (Campbell gets lots of rebounds but she has been abused on the boards recently by opposing bigs. It is possible that the officials are no longer giving her the benefit of the doubt because of the number of times she hits the floor. They used to call fouls most of the time.

Kornet is the better outside shooter but has no where close to the slashing ability of Campbell. Kornet could play the role that Caton used to play. Play inside but step out to shoot the treys.

Kornet is the key here. If she is improved enough to start then she and Campbell will be 3/4. In a 4 guard offense it doesn't matter much who plays what. If Kornet is not a starter then Payton Little should be the 3.

Manning should be the 2 but would play the 1,3 and 4 at times. She could be the super sub off the bench that gets 30 minutes and plays all over the court. That would make the starters KayKay, Kornet, Campbell, Little and Ortiz. Yes Ortiz in spite of being a freshman.

Sherri doesn't usually give frosh much time. Carter was an exception but in hind sight Sherri may wish she had brought her along a little more slowly. But I think Ortiz is special and will be the starting point guard at least by Big 12 time.

I think Carter gets a lot of minutes. I am high on her but she has to develop a better outside shot and play more in control. If Ortiz doesn't come along as fast as expected Carter could get some time at the point.

You can't rule Edwards out for some quality time but she must develop at least a mid-range game.

I don't know what to expect for Wyatt and Kellogg. Wyatt plays 20 minutes one game and one the next but she seems to have a pretty solid game. Don't know why she isn't hitting more threes. Seems to rush and lack confidence.

If Sherri wants to go big she can put Kellogg at the 4 and Manning at point. Kellogg was a good 3 point shooter in high school so she should have a better outside game than KayKay.

We should have depth next year but Sherri has yet to use depth. She likes to play her starters most of the game unless they get into foul trouble. That doesn't leave many minutes for the rest of them.
