Why is Mulkey much better recruiter than SC

Sherri has said on more than one occasion that she doesnt enjoy recruiting.

Isu is a team that normally kills it in conference, yet they sit at 3-7 right now... I think the big 12 has chanced, gone are the days of playing 4 out and 1 in, or going after the kids who can just shoot 3s... OU needed more kids who can score going to the rim off the drive.

Well Baylor is in Texas that helps a lot when you see all of the talent that's in state, it's one reason the PAC 12 has gotten so strong, by keeping the kids home... it's a bit confusing why none of the top kids in Texas 2018 class are looking at OU other then Reese. I remember watching a video when Sherri talked about the recruitment of the Paris twins, she said she doesn't really like to recruit... skilledserv knows a lot about Texas and what schools kids are looking at why kids aren't looking at OU, and a bunch of other useful information, he/she also post on the Baylor board and is someone I would consider a Baylor fan... while it seems like he/she has an agenda over here... it's really just facts about our program and where it's headed regarding recruiting. Basically the story is OU has ruined its relationship with one of the top AAU teams in Texas, I won't say the program because this is all rumors but if you follow recruiting, then you'll know the AAU program I'm referring to, it's probably the Top AAU program in Texas and one of the top nationally... OU hasn't signed a player associated with said program in a long time, not sure what happened or if it's fixable...

Regarding the "Sherri type" comment I've heard she likes Christian kids and has a mandatory bible study...
Very confused on OU not looking at top kids in Texas other than Reece? What you need to get are kids Baylor and Texas are after not sure Reece is being recruited by either but espn has her ranked but others not as high do you really put that much stock in one guy thAt flies around the country trying to see all these kids vs other services with multiple evaluators or more importantly do you have more faith in these raters vs what college coaches see- people need to pay more attention to who is recruiting kids vs ones man with one set of eyes and possible agendas those who put so much into rankings end up with kids like hosey who cannot really contribute st Texas and prob would not at OU either

hosey Is a good example of a kid who might have been overrated coming out of high school, but she's also a power forward and just not as good as Holmes... you never know how a kids situation will play out but I think She would have a good chance starting at the 4 if she had come to OU... so in 2017 OU was high on the list of Patterson, yet she's heading to Texas where she's going to play behind Brook for 1 year and possibly could be going up against 2 other point guards who were both top 10 in there classes coming out... she said Texas showed her love the longest, so I can understand why she would pick them... so she's the latest kid that Texas or Baylor were looking at that was looking at OU as well....

2018 you have a Nalyssa Smith, Zarielle Green, and Queen Egbo yet at this time non of them are looking at OU... If OU is going to have a chance to win the big 12 again they need to be in on the top talent in Texas, unless Sherri can tap into that California pipe line again. She's had some success in Florida but it's been due to her relationship with the essence club coach.

Well Queen or Zay are not looking at uconn or nd or Stanford either so should we say Geno muffet and Tara are doing a bad job too? Kids are recruited to schools that fit - do you wonder why zay didn't have Texas in top schools? Not cause she not good enough but becuAse they went a different direction-or she did- obviously most don't like the direction OU is going but I'm sure they know who can play and who they can recruit. You say Sherri only goes for a certain kinda kid? I'd have to know what that kid is?

Hate the team, Syb. Hate the coach. Do not hate an 18-year-old girl because she made a choice she thinks is best for her.

This is the last time I will respond to this nonsense. You are using the Baylor interpretation (hence the term gaslighting) of my statement to make one of your own, or that reflects their non-guilty defense of their nonsense. I did not say that I hated a player. I said that I preferred what they were like in highschool. I don't like what players become under Kim, something that goes back to Wabara's use of the elbow and fouling out of bounds.

I do question why any kid would overlook what Kim and Baylor are like. Seventeen-year-olds often reflect the attitudes of those around them. I would hope that as they grow older and wise up, they would learn not to send their kids to a coach like Kim or a university like Baylor.

You better fire Patty Gasso first. She praises God on TV after wins! As do her players.

If I were concerned that their religion was being used as a negative, I would be the first in line demanding their termination, not being a subscriber to any theological ideologies. Whether or not I object to religion does not preempt one from using stories wisely.

All ideas arise as do mustard seeds,, and all great ideas begin as one individual thought.

I agree but being in Oklahoma, you'd almost expect this. My point is they've used this as an attack on Sherri for years and Patty has proven this is much ado about nothin'!

I have never been one to call for Sherris job, I don't feel like she makes more then the project she puts on the floor.. I do think her staff could use a bit of a shake up thought... I have no issue with Sherri being religious...

Many do have a problem as they mention after losses. Patty has proven this is a non-issue.

I wish more teams expressed religion..... I was watching a TCU men's game....Not sure if it was IA ST or Baylor that they were playing, but this was played AT TCU (Texas CHRISTIAN University, and there was a call that the fans didn't like, and the fans hollered "Bull Sh@@, Bull Sh@@, Bull Sh@@"....and my 5 yr old grandson asked me what they were saying....I told him, "It wasn't a nice thing to say, and I quickly muted it" You know there are children AT these games, and this is AT a CHRISTIAN university. Then I watched the TCU/AUBURN men's game last Saturday, and there were 10 men (college kids) on the front row with no shirts on and all they had on was speedo's AT a CHRISTIAN university......Is this behavior OK at at CHRISTIAN university? To me, it's not OK at ANY university......But that's just my 2 cents.

Well, I don't think religion has anything to do with this. Those kinds of things (rightly or wrongly) are said by lots of students at all universities all across the country. It's about who that person is, regardless of whether they are religious or not.

I have a family member that is huge donor at OSU and they attend many away events, especially in Big 12, to support Cowboys/Cowgirls and they've told me that Hypocrite U has the WORST fans in Big 12, which includes Texas, Tech, KU, K-State, etc. We all know how they treated Courtney! Then this school trots out Kim Mulkey, who cusses like a sailor, trashes opposing players in media, verbally attacks opposing coach before game and at press conference. She's a model! All because she wins. Scott Drew, cusses like a sailor. Then we have the sacred Art Briles! What more can you say??? The administration at Hypocrite U supports this behavior, pure and simple, as long as they win! HYPOCRITES! The worst of the worst!

I know many agnostics and atheists that are the best people you can know and they are the same 24/7, not just when someone is at church! Religion has nothing to do with this kind of behavior you're referring to.

I think you are presenting a whole bunch of Alternative Facts here, and doubt that you really know much about these coaches. If they behave as you suggest, how do they all manage to be outstanding recruiters?
