Why the negativity?

I don't get why people are negative about the game. OU won, the game was really never in doubt in the second half and OU did it without Spangler and Hornbeak. Let me take the starting big off a team that is thin in the front court and their 6th man and see how that team plays. I was actually impressed.

I would have preferred OU to not allow Tulsa to close the gap at the end of both halves but that just gives the coaches something to complain/coach about.

I am concerned about Spanglers health. We all knew we were thin in the front court area but last night showed us just how thin. I think with Spangler in there they don't close the gap near as much on us.

Agree with you, Denver; there is absolutely no reason to be negative about our team's performance yesterday. The few problems the Sooners DID experience were due to our center and our sixth man both out of action.

By the way, I'm also concerned about Spangler's injury. I went back and reviewed the game on the DVR. The injury came at about 13:45 of the first half. Spangler drove the baseline and kicked the ball out to Cousins, who drained a three. While Cousins was in the act of shooting, Ryan had drifted out just beyond the foul line and was facing the basket when he took a knee to the calf from a Tulsa player, who was trying to get around him. Ryan immediately started limping back on defense as the shot went down. He was clearly in pain the rest of the (short) time he played.

Don't know how many of you noticed, but when the game ended and Spangler got up off the bench, he could hardly put any weight on the leg. I'll be surprised if he's ready to go by Tuesday, though I'm hopeful he will.

Count me among the no reason to complain crowd. Sure, a 20 plus points blowout would have been nice. But with two players in our top seven ratation watching the game from the bench, I was happy with a double digit win in a game that was never in doubt.

I think your last sentence answered your question.

dont you think with fresher bodies, ie having spagler and hornbeak, would have solved that problem, guys got gassed at the end of the halves due to playing more minutes than they are used to

When you score 100 winning by 10 doesn't seem as impressive as winning 65-55. But it's sure a lot easier on the eyes to watch!!

Billy ball is back. Capel played lip service to up tempo. It looked like Kruger was doing to same when in reality he was just assembling the pieces.

A win is a win, even ugly wins are good! Relax folks this ball club will be ok.

Clearly our defense and offense suffered when Spangler went out. However, I think we adjusted pretty well in the second half when both Neal and Booker put in some good minutes.
