OU Sooners: Big-12 Record Past 3 Seasons

OU Big-12 Schedule
Jan. 5 @ West Virginia
Jan. 12 .. Oklahoma State
Jan. 16 .. Texas Tech
Jan 19 @ Kansas State
Jan. 21 .. Texas
Jan. 26 @ Kansas

Feb. 16 @ Oklahoma State
Feb. 20 @ Texas Tech
Feb. 23 .. Baylor
Feb. 27 @ Texas
March 2 .. Iowa State
March 6 .. West Virginia
March 9 @ TCU

I see us winning 8, 9, or 10 conference games, most likely. So maybe.

10-8 is doable.

(7-2) at home:
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
TCU
Iowa State
West Virginia
and 2 of these three
Texas or Kansas State or Baylor

(3-6) on the road:
1 of these three:
@ Kansas State or @ Baylor or @ Iowa State
and
@TCU and @Tech

But all that said, 8 is definitely my base expectation.
9 would be great and 10 would probably be the ceiling.
So I agree with WT.

I am thinking that 9-9 is about where we will end up, so yes, significant improvement.

I agree with TU's 8-10, 9-9, 10-8 range. I do think that there is a chance we could gel and do even better, but I am going to have to see this team play together first and see how the 3 frosh guards and Bennett look...

9-9 would be a big improvement and is possible for this team to achieve, IMHO.

However, 9-9 will not get the Sooners into the Big Dance.

I disagree. I'm not saying it'd be a given we'd make it in at 9-9, but UT got in last year with that record. They needed a relatively strong OOC record, and one win in the Big 12 Tourney, but they made it in with an 11 seed.

Well, it would be nice to go 9-9 and at least be discussed as a bubble team.

It would also be nice to beat Texas. While all games are important, it would sure be fun to once again win some "big" games.

I see 13 winnable conference games. OU can win every home game with the possible exception of KU. That is 8 potential wins. OU can win on the road at the following locations: Tech, TCU, ISU, KSU, OSU and Texas. I don't really believe OU can win on the road at Baylor, KU or WVU. (I don't think many teams are going to win at WVU it is a long road trip and I also don't think they are going to win a lot of road games.)
