Seems that most here say he goes. I'm not so sure.

Depends on several things;

How important is money?
Seem upset. Reason important; if because of OU/Kruger he goes. If because of his performance possible he will stay.

Importance of money big issue. I have not seen a projection higher than 7th overall pick. Lot of difference in money from 1st or even 2nd or 3rd. May decide to stay and develop a more mature game.

The first half of the year he was the best player to ever wear an OU uniform. Second half he has not been. Still has the potential to be the best ever.

Has a lot of room for development. Basic skills of shooting, passing, quickness and leaping ability superior.

Judgment poor. Too many bad shots and bad passes. Those 30 foot jump shots are as sure a turnover as some of his wild passes. Also it looks like he has lost confidence because of all of the misses on the ultra long shots.

I know he is double teamed quite a bit but he doesn't get open for good shots as much as his skills should allow. Another part of his game he needs to improve. All superior players get double teamed in college.

With his passing skills he should have a much better Asst/TO ratio than less than 2/1. I know a lot blame the other players for missing shots but I think that is overblown.

Last night he was better on defense and in his defense I am sure that he has been advised to avoid foul trouble because of his importance on offense. I don't watch the NBA because it seems that it has become more entertainment than basketball. But don't kid youself; you have to play defense in the NBA. But Trae really needs to improve his defense.

Some will bash me for having the temerity to criticize Trae, but I try to be realistic and keep a balanced perspective. The level of skills and how well those skills are develeped for success is important in any field.

Trae's skills are off the chart and among the best ever but he is a long way from developing them into becoming the complete player he can be.

The guy has Lebron James, Steph Curry, and many other pros telling him to go... His dad is likely telling him to go. He is likely in contact with a lot of these pros who are encouraging him...

0% chance he stays, IMO.

100% gone. I’m sure his dad already has been interviewing agents.

If/when he leaves, the 2018-2019 season will be maybe the worst in 30 years.

Trae probably needs another year because he's just not developed enough now. But I don't see him staying.

Good post. Trae really didn't endear himself to OU fans the way the season ended. I am not sure if that plays any part in the decision or not but it seems like it would being from Norman.

Trae also needs to work on his team leadership. The way the team started to fall apart under his role is a big indictment on his leadership. One reason the Cavs don't have more championships is because Lebron can't lead without ruining the team chemistry. That's why in my mind he will never be Jordan.

Trae needs to be looking for a good accountant

Before the season I thought there was no way he'd leave early. During the early part of the season, when everybody was saying he'd leave for sure, I wasn't so sure.

Now though? He has to go. He'll likely be a top 10 pick, and things didn't go well for the team this year, and both directly and indirectly TY is a large part of the reason why. Too much animosity for him to come back and give it another go with these guys, I'd think. Better if he moves on.

He's gone. There's 0% chance he stays. His draft stock is the highest it can be. Next year, he probably wouldn't be the #1 guard, even if he played like he did the 1st half of the year. His size and body will always be held against him.
