You can't keep a coach around that keeps under performing this badly.
We used to love to play this game with Capel, let's do it with Ford:
What is the Hillbilly's record without James Anderson?
I'd be shocked if he doesn't get next year. First, this season is far from over, and he hadn't missed the postseason two seasons in a row, let alone at all, like Capel did. Not that the NIT is some great achievement, but it is a hell of a lot better than sitting at home.
Plus, Ford has a good class coming in, and worst case scenario with this season, and they miss all post season play, then I think he still gets a 5th year. If there are two straight seasons of no tournament berths, then I'd probably say he's gone.

Oh and he is 26-19

I'm pretty sure I'm the last Ford apologist. That question is irrelevant, mainly because it sucks.
How dare you ask a logical question... Completely unfair to the Ford apologists.
Well, he did win 20 games and "made" the second round of the NIT last year without Anderson.
:woot
IIRC, Capel never had a winning season without Blake, let alone winning 20 games.
But to answer the question, I guess he would currently be standing at 26-19 (.578) without Anderson.
P.S. I'm not a Ford apologist.
Jeff my man, you're rebutting facts that we've all (well, at least most of us) have acknowledged. As far as my statement, what seniorsooner asked was fair since that is always the go-to question of OSU fans about what life was like after Blake, when OSU's proven not to be much without Anderson.
Basically, this goes back to quite a few posters on here asserting that Ford has beein/is a substantially better coach than Capel, when the results certainly haven't supported so.
I'd take Ford over Capel, but it's much closer than what you and OSU supporters have previously stated. The guy was given a squad replete of talent and experience (2008-2009) and still couldn't reach the Sweet 16. And his teams have continued to regress year-by-year.
