Curious what people think about Jordan actually getting back to the 2 this year - if Strong-Moore, or more likely Shepard could come on and be a capable point guard?

I think this might slide Odomes to sixth-man, where he could bring energy and athleticism to the game.

Anyone think this might be Lon's goal?

It was a crazy thought, in my mind last year, which, obviously worked tremendously well.

I believe it would really enhance the Sooners three-point game and might give them a little better ball handling amongst the starters. On the downside it would diminish their overall length on defense and possibly impact rebounding as well - two things I am not sure I want to give up.

odomes is our best play maker he won't be losing his starting spot ..

I do think you will continue to see Strong-Moore as the 4th guard and Jordan getting 10+ min a game on the wing

Yes, i've noticed he's trying to do it more. I think it would help most against teams like Texas and West Virginia because of the need for ball handlers. So, for different reasons..

I think it's inevitable. woodard is more effective when he can play off the ball more.

Agreed.

He's been doing more of that lately, just not as much as last year. As an FYI, despite a slow start to begin the season, he's still shooting a high percentage from three. He's averaging 43% (rounded off) through the first eight games, compared to 46% last year. Not bad for a player who has to spend most of his time running the offense.

I hope you're right and I agree. He's definitely at his best playing the second guard. It just really takes advantage of his best skills and hides his weaknesses better. For now, I understand us relying on him playing the 1, but I hope that changes as a young guy or Strong steps up.
