Along with a few other local players from the recent OKHoops Elite Game.

Young big man Jacob Hammond is a 2014 player who also played really well in this game and soon could be on the Sooner coaching staff radar.

They seem loathe to toot their own horn but I don't think people fully realize how much work Sam and William Jennings are doing on this stuff. Those two basically came up with the idea and then put this entire event together on their own, and managed to get almost all of the best players in the state and allowed others to showcase their skills for the coaches in attendance.

They are really doing heroic work for Oklahoma high school basketball players. Bravo

I was going to say that Hammond looked impressive. How tall is he currently?

Shaq Morris looked a lot more "springier" than he was in the playoffs last year. That's good to see and I can't wait to see him this season.

And I won't be upset at all if we end up signing James Woodard. Seems like a good kid who just knows how to play the game fundamentally and does everything well. Not a star at the OU level but a great role player and glue guy type. Plus, you'd get his brother, which would be nice. I'm guessing he's our Marcus Smart backup plan or not?

And I agree with Tony 100 percent. Very impressive Sam and William. Great work and great highlight video too.

Hammond is right around 6'8, very skinny but looks to have the frame that can handle a lot more weight. Only been playing basketball for 2 years or so now and has made a lot of progression this spring alone.

Shaq was still coming off the ankle injury that hampered most of his sophomore high school season. He's finally healthy and starting to show a lot of potential. He needs to get in a little better shape and work on his skill game but he has the power game to be a high major type post.

Its hard to say on Woodard, I think his recruitment could mirror Josh Richardson's. They're similar players in that in the fall period the core of their interest will be mid major schools. If he wants till spring he is likely to go high D-1 somewhere. Similar to Richardson he most likely wont be a star a high major school but will be in the rotation and key contributor. He's the type of kid you want in your program for 4 years, always working hard, takes cares of business in class room, etc.

Thanks Tony and 23.

A couple of quick notes with some of the players at the combine. Jordan Woodard, the dynamic 2013 guard from Edmond is now being contacted by Kansas.

Fresno St. is now involved in the recruitment of Edmond Santa Fe's Shaquille Morris. Dre Wright of Lawton is on the radar of Marquette and will likely be evaluated by a Marquette coach this week in a tournament in Tulsa.

Stevie Clark the 2013 guard from OKC Douglass is fighting a stigma of being a volume shooting guard, but his performance in the Elite Game appears to prove that is a false stigma. He had at least 10 assist in that game and you can see many of those great passes in the highlight video.

Garrett Butler of Burlington Oklahoma is one kid that could very well end up a division one prospect in the low to mid major range. He already has one offer and many schools are interested.

Delvonte Pierre, a 6'3 wing from Lawton is now being looked at by Tulsa University and other area mid majors. Pierre is close to qualifying.

Watch for kids like Edmond's Terrell Savala, Tulsa Central's Chris Bates, Putnam City North's Joe Summers and others to be standouts on the Oklahoma prep scene this upcoming season.

Also, we had a turnout between 100-150 players from all over the state of Oklahoma. Not all of those kids will be college prospects, but we truly appreciate there support and want to be there voice over the next few years. Without them, we won't grow as a service.

Burlington...now that is a blast from the past. I don't think I have even heard that schools name since we played them when I was a Senior in HS (89). Thanks for putting up the info you guys do, it makes it a lot eaiser for those of us that live outside the state to keep up.
