If they don't make the NCAA? I don't think Sherri Coale would..maybe I'm wrong

Maybe let the Seniors decide if they want to play another game if guaranteed it's a home game.
Probably not much interest to go on the road.

I think Sherri is right. We'll be in the 64. We may have dropped from a 7 to a 11. But, #2 SOS?

I don't believe we would win the NIT. I think we, if even invited, would win one game and then get beat. We can 'play' with teams, just cannot beat a good team, unfortunately. the reason for this is the coaches and not instilling that killer instinct in our players. It's times like this I truly wish we had Kim Mulkey as a coach, she's got it, and SC does not. Anymore at least.

The rest of your post became lost in the realm of intellectual entropy when I saw those words.

If we don’t make the 64, I hope OU says NO to the NIT, whether Sherri wants to or not. Cost, plus no one gives a ****. Why do it for this team and coaching staff. I think it would be an embarrassment after making the big dance for 18 straight years.

Just like bowl games - any bowl games - are good for football teams because they create 15 to 20 days more practice time, I would like OU to go to the WNIT - and work our new players thoroughly. We need the experience.

As a player, I would accept a chance to play more and get better, as a fan, stick a fork in them and call it done. Lets move on.

Insult me all you want. Make yourself sound smarter by using big words. What it comes down to is, even though Mulkey loses her star point guard, they still find a way to win. With a skeleton team, just like ours. We don't have that killer instinct and belief in ourselves and that's why teams like Baylor win when all the odds are stacked against them, and we choke, against teams we are better than. I'm not saying we are better than TCU, we probably aren't. But we have lost way too many games this season to teams we should have been able to beat. That is on the coaches, not those 18-20 year old girls. When your fourth year and sixth year players miss open layups, travel and such ever game then its a lack of fundamentals and mental toughness. Respond as condescendingly as you'd like, but I think we all know deep down it's the truth. SC is probably a 'program builder' but she's not a coach that wins championships. At least not anymore. We need fresh blood in there that isn't content to just 'make the dance' and lose the first round. Mark my words, with SC and company coaching, we will not win another Big 12 title. I'd put money on that.

Have you ever considered why Mulkey loses so many titles when she is getting some very highly-rated recruits? That group of six that was illegally recruited had one title. Curiously, they only advance one round, maybe two, beyond where we do, and the consensus is that we have no talent. Did you know that Sherri and Mulkey have been to the same number of Final Fours? Yet, Sherri recruits legally, and none of her players has ever pulled someone's hair during the game, nor have they broken anyone's jaw with a fist.

I hope she would say yes to a WNIT bid because OU would definitely host some games and it would give the current freshmen that many more games. I hope we would never turn down post season play.

I am ambivalent on this..

Syb, I think you've carried this I-Hate-Kim-Mulkey thing far enough now.

Just because she jilted you, you can't keep up this hatred forever.

Move on.

You fell short in so many ways, Syb, but it's OK. We'll still let you post here.

Im not saying that Mulkey is a good person in any sense! I don't know her personally, and i'm thinking most of not all of us on this board are in the same boat. All the shadiness aside, i just think she's a good coach. None of her players are lacking in the fundamentals, and are extremely disciplined. I truly believe with the group we have now, Mulkey coaching us this season would have resulted in more wins. Now that's not saying I prefer her as a person over SC, i definitely do not. She's hideous to look at, and extremely obnoxious. But i would take that and sweep the big 12, and win the tournament year in and year out over what we have right now. Sorry Syb, or anyone else that may take extreme offense to this, but that's just how I feel right now.

I just want us to win and be a proud program like we were!
