Maybe. We need to beat OSU and not finish on another damn 9 game losing streak to end the year.

I think he's shown what he can do over 5 years and it's not that good. I don't think it matters because he's coming back but if the staff is the same I don't see him staying longer than another year because I don't see us winning enough next year to keep him after next year.

In before the chorus of capslocking "No he's an IDIOTAWFULCOACH" posts....As for the OP, I'm honestly not sure. I've been an ardent Capel supporter this season, but all this losing, especially 'bad' losing, is finally starting to take it's toll on me.

as long as Capel is our coach I will support him, but I don't think an incoming recruiting class should be factored into the decision to retain him. As we have seen, merely signing a player means little.

Talent isn't this teams only problem.
What is OU's identity besides jacking 3's and foolishly playing hard??
Besides Cade Davis, who has HONESTLY improved on this team??

I wished I could say they would solve the problem but I know that is simply not the answer. IMO

This has been my beef against Capel all along. What is OU? They don't have any identity. There are few, if any, offensive plays. Their inbound plays are terrible - when is the last time they got a bucket off an inbound play? I really don't see much creativity in Capel's coaching. If you can't recruit great players and get them to stay, then you better be able to coach well. I don't see either quality in Capel right now. Bringing in two new players does not resolve the underlying issues.

For me it's simple. As long as he is our coach, the players must play as he tells them and compete with effort. If they don't like that or they don't like him or they don't try hard - hit the road, he will look for someone who will!

Can I also park here??? Until the admin makes a change, I will support whoever the current coach is, unless I see him as a detriment to the young men who's lives he is allowed to impact. So far I can find no fault in his ethics/character, so YES I'm going to support him, but no I don't ever want to see a night like last night....

i really dont think talent is the issue as he has recruited possibbly better than anyone ever here.. he just plain isnt a good coach and so the players dont develop... i wonder how much higher cade davis ceiling would be if he played somewhere like KU with a real coach. i think he would be a remarkably better player
