Lot of speculation OU is a going to be in the mix for Clarke, might even visit here.
If he comes here he'll have to sit out this upcoming season, and play the 2012-13 season.
Clarke is of course a dead eye shooter but there is a lot of smoke about his potential attitude issues (ego, needing shots, whatever).
I initially figured when he announced his transfer from Arkansas he would go to a mid major and get to be "the man". Get 20 shots a game and such.
At OU he would become eligible on a roster loaded with upperclassmen. There are already 6 seniors (Arent, Blair, Fitzgerald, Grooms, Osby & Pledger) with four juniors (Clark, M'Baye, Neal and Newell). With an experienced roster like that he would most likely be the 3rd or 4th option (I expect Osby and Clark to be the primary options, Fitz will be up there too) on offense and might not even start (could he unseat an expected three year starter Steven Pledger at the two spot?).
As a three point specialist his value would be great but I really wonder if that is the role he wants to have? Would he buy into it or would he want to get double double shots every night?
One more factor, if Clarke comes then it means OU will only have 2 ships to give out in 2012. So it comes down too that as well, would you rather start bringing in new blood or take the chance on a three point specialist?
